Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored inside a standard containment locker.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a pair of ███████ brand scissors recovered from Frederick ██████ after being arrested for bank robbery. The criminal and SCP-XXXX were then handed over to the Foundation by the local police force for study and interrogation.
Through interrogation of Frederick ██████, we learned the operation of SCP-XXXX is as follows:
- SCP-XXXX are able to open tears into space that can transport anyone who enters the tear to wherever the user of SCP-XXXX has chosen to travel to. Once a tear has been traveled through, it will close behind the subject(s) automatically.
- To achieve the creation of a tear, the user first thinks of the location they wish to travel to.1 Once a location is chosen, the user then pivots the blades by use of the bows to "cut" the open air in a vertical direction (diagonal and horizontal directions have been shown to not achieve SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties). The chosen location should be visible through the tear.
After every use of SCP-XXXX, there is approximately a 20-23% chance an injury will occur on the user's body ranging from lacerations on various areas of the user's epidermis, to lacerations of the internal organs of the user, to [REDACTED].2
