SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PRODECURES: All instances of SCP-5284 should be contained in a 3m x 3m x 3m fire-resistant steel cube at Site 19, with all walls being no less than 2 meters thick. DESCRIPTION: SCP-5284 is a small basket of Voit dodge-balls. A very large amount of the dodge-balls were green. It is estimated that the first instance of SCP-5284 is SCP-5284-32, a large orange dodge-ball, as it's the most damaged.. If unprotected skin touches any instance of SCP-5284, The subject will begin to melt from the foot up. If protected skin touches SCP-5284, the protection gear will melt first, then the skin will begin melting. If the item is touched in cold surroundings, it'll take longer for it to melt your body. The opposite happens in warm surroundings.
SCP-5284 was discovered on Amazon under the name "Voit Dodge-ball Pack" for $49.99. The description of the item was: "A basket of dodge-balls I found at a school in Houston, Texas. There were multiple charges against the school after many children went missing. According to the gym teacher, he said they died unexpectedly and [DATA REDACTED] while playing games of dodgeball. He gave it to me, so I'm putting them up here." A user named [DATA REDACTED] bought the item, and about 37 hours later, called the police after some kids at her sons birthday party melted and turned into [DATA REDACTED] while playing with the dodge-balls. Lady: *in a panicked voice* Hello? Is This 911?
Police: Yes, this is the police. What is your emergency?
Lady: *very fast* All the people at my sons birthday party just-
Police: Ma'am, I cannot understand what you're saying. Please repeat again slowly.
The Lady sighed and began to explain.
Lady: *Slowly* My son was having his birthday party, and he decided to burst out a pack of dodge-balls I got him yesterday. They were having fun, and as I was watching, one of the kids was using a dodge-ball to block dodge-balls coming at him.
Police: Okay…
Lady: *Voice Raises, but it still talking slow* And he MELTED!!
Police: *silence*
Lady: Some other kids tried the same thing, and THEY MELTED AS WELL!!! *begins hyperventilating*
Police: Ma'am, it's okay. We've told some of the other police to get to your location. Where are you currently?
Lady: 932 [STREET NAME], Cheektowaga, New York [AREA CODE]
Police: Okay, ma'am. I've told the other cops your location, they're heading there as fast as possible.
Everything afterwards is the lady worrying, and the police telling her to calm down for the remaining 7 minutes of a call.

Nothing else is currently known about SCP-5284, aside from a notebook found in the gym that SCP-5284 was originally in before being sold on Amazon. There were only 2 legible pages: Page 157 and 158. They were written with blue pen, and dust was all over both pages. This was Page 157:
"I don't know what to do. I'm getting charged way too much in order to keep a stable job. They're charging me for 'killing their children.' even though I know what's killing them. The dodge-balls. Something is up with those dodge-balls. I don't think they'll believe me if I say the dodge-balls were the things that killed them, and if I say it was me who killed them to get the parents to shut up, I'll most likely be executed. I have nothing left to do. I have nowhere left to go. Either thing I say will get me killed. I need to get rid of these. I think giving them to my friend and having him sell them on amazon will get rid of them well enough. Yeah, that will get rid of these 'things.' Wish me luck."
And this was page 158:
"I'm dead. My friend put it up on amazon, and one of the 2nd grade parents bought it. They called the cops after multiple of the children died at their sons birthday party. They also told the cops who sold them it. My friend said I gave it to him. He RATTED on me. I'm super pissed off right now. He basically betrayed me! I know for sure I'm going on death row. See you all in the afterlife."
This notebook was from the Gym Teacher at the school.
SCP-5284 is one of the most deadly SCPs currently known. If the kind of dodge-ball they are continues to get manufactured, it could lead to mass deaths across the world.
