Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3581 is to be kept in a soundproof 6 x 6 x 6 meter glass cube at all times. Removal of SCP-3581 is to be supervised by one armed staff member, wearing military grade headphones. SCP-3581 is to be released into a gated outdoor area at 5:00 PM Standard Time. SCP-3581 is to be locked up at 6:00 PM Standard Time. If SCP-3581 is ever to escape, 3 staff members shall be stationed at the nearest pound.

Description: SCP-3581 is a black canine with amber eyes. It has been identified as male, and weighs about 70 pounds. It appears to be a labrador, but tests show a mixture of over 70 breeds. Its bark has been measured at 145 decibels, enough to deafen a human. In one study, it showed the ability to bite through metal, and in another study, it ate an [REDACTED]. Despite this, it does not typically show violent tendencies, unless threatened.

Subjects spending prolonged periods of time (over 1 hour) with SCP-3581 tend to become incredibly attached to SCP-3581, especially females. Removing them from SCP-3581 sends these subjects, who will be named SCP-3581-1, into a fit, in which SCP-3581-1 begin to kick and scream. Upon re-exposure to SCP-3581, SCP-3581-1 will act as if they had never seen SCP-3581. After 1 hour of re-exposure, the previously stated effects will begin to take place again in SCP-3581-1.

Upon exposure to SCP-3487, SCP-3581 will begin to yelp urgently. It is after these instances that SCP-3581 will disappear. On every occasion, SCP-3581 has reappeared at the nearest pound or dog shelter, barking wildly.
