Special Containment Procedures: Each instance of SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a centralized location for easy access in a keypad-sealed room. Level 4 approval required for access.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a series of four interconnected teleporters, designated SCP-XXXX-1 through 4. All instances are identical, consisting of a 1 m x 1 m x 3 m metal frame with a control panel facing inwards. Each is capable of teleporting anything placed within the frame to any of the other instances, provided the desired instance has been selected on the control panel. After rigorous testing with both inanimate objects and Class-D personnel revealed SCP-XXXX to be safe for the transport of sentient organic matter, all instances of SCP-XXXX have been approved for emergency use.

Addendum-1: During the evacuation of Site ██ on █/█/18, SCP-XXXX-3 was hit by an attack of █████ as Dr. R███████ attempted to initiate teleportation. The attack caused severe damage to SCP-XXXX-3. Due to the interconnected nature of SCP-XXXX, no instances remain functional.

SCP-XXXX is no longer approved for emergency use. Any further testing with SCP-XXXX must be approved by Level 4 personnel or above.

Addendum-2: SCP-XXXX was initially thought to be a series of interconnected teleportation devices, but has instead been determined to be a series of devices capable of molecular reconstruction and deconstruction.

Each instance of SCP-XXXX is capable of reconstructing matter placed in other instances. As the matter reconstructs in one instance, it simultaneously deconstructs in the original instance. Reconstructions are indistinguishable from the original, both in chemical structure and, for sentient beings, brain functions. Whether SCP-XXXX was originally intended as an attempt at a teleportation device or if de- and reconstruction is its intended purpose is unknown.

SCP-XXXX’s true nature was discovered during the evacuation of Site ██ on █/█/18, when SCP-XXXX-3 was hit by an attack of █████ as Dr. J. Richards attempted to initiate teleportation. The attack damaged the deconstruction functionality of SCP-XXXX-3, causing a reconstruction of Dr. Richards to appear in SCP-XXXX-4, but the original Dr. Richards to remain. The duplication remained undetected until both Dr. Richards simultaneously requested leave to visit Dr. Richards' husband in [DATA EXPUNGED]. Both Dr. Richards have been placed under observation.

37% of employees evacuated using SCP-XXXX have reported increased dissociative symptoms, 76% of which reported symptoms that could be specifically identified as derealization. However, this cannot be confirmed as a result of replication by SCP-XXXX rather than a natural outcome of the trauma of evacuation.

The remaining instances of SCP-XXXX remain functional, but all requests for testing approval are to be denied unless performed by Level 3 personnel or above on inanimate objects. SCP-XXX is not to be used on conscious beings or approved for emergency use.

SCP-XXXX’s true functionality is to remain secret from any personnel evacuated using SCP-XXXX (see Document F), regardless of clearance level.
