Special Containment Procedures: all instances of SCP-XXXX is to be kept in an isolated greenhouse at least 30 kilometers away from any and all populated areas at all times, it's cell must come equipped with an automated feeding system, and must receive no less then fourty five kilograms of human bone tissue per instance once every month.
Description: The origin of SCP-XXXX is unknown, SCP-XXXX is a species of birch tree. The first instance of SCP-XXXX was discovered near Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
Twenty one instances of SCP-XXXX are in containment, each instance of SCP-XXXX will spawn roughly thirty instances of SCP-XXXX-1 upon certain conditions being met.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a small spherical dark black creature weighing exactly one kilogram each, upon spawning it will immediately consume any human bone tissue nearby, if SCP-XXXX does no ingest at least one kilogram of human bone tissue within five minutes of spawning, it will expire from hunger. Upon consuming one kilogram of bone tissue, SCP-XXXX-1 will return to the instance of SCP-XXXX it had spawned from. Upon realizing there is no bone tissue or if there is not enough, that instance of SCP-XXXX-1 will disintegrate, if even one instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is to not consume enough bone tissue the instance of SCP-XXXX it had spawned from will sink into its soil and completely disappear regardless of how deep the soil it is contained in.
If SCP-XXXX is not allowed to spawn SCP-XXXX-1 the tree will die and a new one will sprout in the nearest forest, regardless of the location, SCP-XXXX has been known to be capable of sprouting through even asphalt.
SCP-XXXX-1 appears to search for bone tissue through two bright ellipses which resemble eyes, while SCP-XXXX itself triggers upon proximity, the proximity varies from instance to instance with the largest being a radius of roughly fifteen kilometers. SCP-XXXX-1 seems to absorb bone tissue through direct contact. When presented with a live subject, SCP-XXXX-1 will spawn and then attempt to work its way into the subjects body, often targeting open cuts or the ears. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will continue to attempt entry until five minutes have passed.
SCP-XXXX was discovered after multiple missing persons cases, and an increase in reported dead bodies found in the area along with a majority of the victims missing large fragments of bone. Upon securing all known instances of SCP-XXXX in the area amnestics were administered to all locals within a 10 mile radius. The large quantity of bone tissue SCP-XXXX requires to stay within a given location is enough to make around two average full grown adults, hence it will frequently relocate due to poor supply of bone tissue.
Addendum: Full Containment Ongoing
Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX terminating itself and then spawning in another area, there is no way of telling how many instances of SCP-XXXX are currently in existence.
I-XXXX-3:
An instance of SCP-XXXX was discovered in Miami Florida, due to reports of victims missing significant amounts of bone tissue, the foundation had sent a team of agents. Upon arrival at this instance of SCP-XXXX agents found a civilian who was walking strangely, upon inspection the civilian was already deceased and was being manipulated by two instances of SCP-XXXX-1. The instances had shown no aggression towards the agents and had only made a linear attempt at bringing the corpse back to their instance of SCP-XXXX. The agents had decided to not interfere as to allow for easier capture of SCP-XXXX, unfortunately the tree had sunk into the ground most likely due to a stray instance of SCP-XXXX-1 failing to meet it's quota of bone tissue in time.
