Special Containment Procedures: All areas reported to be affected by SCP-XXXX are to be blocked off by the Foundation under the guise of large outbreaks of Stachybotrys chartarum, or black mold. Instances of SCP-XXXX are to be surrounded by a high voltage electric fence, and have a minimum of one guard stationed every 100 meters around the perimeter. Any individuals attempting to access SCP-XXXX Instances without proper clearance are to be detained for questioning, and if necessary, termination.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous occurrence that manifests in the state of Michigan. SCP-XXX Instances can extend from 20 meters to 30 kilometers from the areas center, which is usually occupied by a house, apartment building or other residential structure. There are currently ██ instances of SCP-XXXX that are known to the Foundation.

Affected areas typically contain 15 to 150 “No Trespassing” signs (designated SCP-XXXX-A) of the Engineer Protection Systems inc. brand, which are usually posted around the outskirts of SCP-XXXX Instances. SCP-XXXX-A have an active and inactive state. When active they are hostile and extremely aggressive. SCP-XXXX-A shows signs of sapience, as they have been known to attack strategically when faced with large groups of people. When a human steps into the affected area, any SCP-XXXX-A instances within a 20 meter radius will exit the dormant state, seek out and kill the trespassing individual. SCP-XXXX-A instances move at speeds ranging from 11-15 m/s. It is currently unknown how exactly SCP-XXXX-A instances are capable of movement, as their poles should fasten them to the ground. Despite this, they have proven to be very fast and agile, easily out running and catching any Trespassers feeling on foot. Trespassers caught by SCP-XXXX-A Instances are impaled by SCP-XXXX-A's pole. There is no damage to the head or any other body parts, and It is currently unknown how SCP-XXXX-A is able to enter the trespassers body with out causing excessive physical damage, as all video and audio footage goes to static for a short duration of time during SCP-XXXX-A attacks.

SCP-XXXX-A Instances that have successfully impaled a trespasser (referred to as SCP-XXXX-B) will drag SCP-XXXX-B towards the structure at SCP-XXXX's center. SCP-XXXX-A and B will enter the structure, and remain inside for 2 to 4 days. During said time, SCP-XXXX-A and B will detach, and after the duration of the 2 to 4 days, both SCP-XXXX-A and B will exit the central area. SCP-XXXX-A will move to the outskirts of the affected area and will re enter it’s dormant state.

SCP-XXXX-B appears to be a normal human, with no signs of the physical damage received from SCP-XXXX-A. Instances of SCP-XXXX-B will typically act extremely disoriented and agitated upon initial departure from the central area, with trace amounts of memory loss. Each instance of SCP-XXXX-B will exit SCP-XXXX, and immediately return to the location of its area of residence. If SCP-XXXX-B’s residence is not located with in the state of Michigan, SCP-XXXX-B will buy or rent a residence in the area and live there. After SCP-XXXX-B has rested in its residence for 24 - 144 hours, SCP-XXXX-B will begin to show signs of sever social anxiety, and eventually begin to develop extreme Anthropophobia. It will typically stay isolated and in the confines of its home for months on end. After 7 days, SCP-XXXX-B will obsessively buy Engineer Protection Systems inc. “NO TRESPASSING” signs. If SCP-XXXX-B is unable to buy the signs, it will resort to theft, and in extreme conditions, will attempt to replicate the signs. Two weeks to 4 months after buying signs, the area in which said signs are posted will become an instance of SCP-XXXX, and all signs with in the area become SCP-XXXX-A instances.

All attempts of attaining an instance of SCP-XXXX-B have resulted with failures, and only videos and images taken by agents and class-D personnel show SCP-XXXX-B after the process of impalement. All agents and class-D personnel who have who have been sent to capture a SCP-XXXX-B instance have resulted in SCP-XXXX-A attacking them, and ultimately converting them into SCP-XXXX-B instances.

The Foundation has conducted multiple interviews with Engineer Protection Systems inc. officials. All interviewees know nothing of SCP-XXXX or SCP-XXXX-A’s origins. All interviewees were given a dosage of class-A amnestics.

All SCP-XXXX-A instances that are removed from SCP-XXXX will lose all anomalous qualities and function as a normal sign.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-B that are underneath the age of 18 will not return from the center of the affected areas and are to be presumed deceased.

Addendum XXXX-A: There is a single instance of SCP-XXXX in █████████ which has affected an entire neighborhood. This SCP-XXXX instance has been christened: SCP-XXXX-Alpha. It is currently the largest of all the SCP-XXXX instances, reaching far past the usual 30 kilometers. There are trace amounts of video evidence that indicates that there are in fact survivors with in it, who have found a way of keeping SCP-XXXX-A instances at bay using “█████████████” signs, which are embedded into the ground. Due to the fact that they cannot take the "█████████████" signs with them, they are unable to leave the protected area. With the exception Scp-XXXX-Alpha, all SCP-XXXX instances are devoid non anomalous human life.

AddendumXXXX-B: It has been speculated that within each central area of SCP-XXXX lives an instance of SCP-XXXX-B, and that SCP-XXXX operates in a way similar to an ant nest with SCP-XXXX-B as the queen. This has yet to be proven however, as all attempts to enter SCP-XXXX’s central area have resulted with the death of multiple agent units and many class-D personnel. All of those lost in these expositions ultimately became instances of SCP-3898-B, and were subject to termination. All attempts to send drones into the central area result in the drone’s camera and audio abruptly halting.
