Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in an air-tight heavily de-humidified chamber. All on-site maintenance staff should be briefed on how to repair dehumidifiers in the even of a malfunction. All repair notices are to be resolved immediately. Only those with Level-4 security clearance are permitted within SCP-XXXX’s chamber. All personnel entering SCP-XXXX’s chamber must wear a single-piece thin rubber suit and a local respirator.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a ██████████ brand tattoo gun with no remarkable features aside from those mentioned. The grip of SCP-XXXX appears to be standard metallic tubing with patterned ridges to assist in grip; however, upon use, SCP-XXXX’s handle takes the most ergonomic form for the user. Such changes have included, but are not known to be limited to, materials such as rubber, foam, polished wood, brass, other alloys, and highly specific polymers. The materials generated by SCP-XXXX have no relation to the user’s personal preference nor knowledge base. Where most standard tattoo-guns would possess a method of feeding ink to the device, SCP-XXXX has a glass inkwell, designated SCP-XXXX-a. SCP-XXXX-a is mounted to SCP-XXXX by a metal ring that fits against the mouth of SCP-XXXX-a and is constrained by a single screw. SCP-XXXX-a contains an opaque multi-colored fluid, designated SCP-XXXX-b. Events related to the removal of SCP-XXXX-a can be seen in Addendum XXXX-01.
Artwork made using SCP-XXXX becomes a real attachment to the recipient as per the interpretation of the user. Such extensions are designated SCP-XXXX-c. The pigmentation of SCP-XXXX-b as it is dispensed from SPC-XXXX assumes any color desired by the user. SCP-XXXX-a shows no sign of depletion regardless of the quantity of SCP-XXXX-b dispensed. Experiments involving instances of SCP-XXXX-c can be seen in Addendum XXXX-02. The form of SCP-XXXX-c instances strictly abide by the user’s intention SCP-XXXX-c only when physically possible. When instances of SCP-XXXX-c are unable to identify with the user’s intention, SCP-XXXX-b within the recipient’s skin turns black followed by the formation of localized necrosis. Severity of the necrosis is dependent on the depth of SCP-XXXX-b within the skin.
SCP-XXXX-b when not applied to skin has been shown to adhere to moisture in the air and disperse as a heavy black fog. SCP-XXXX-b within the air is able to adhere to absorbent surfaces it comes in contact with. Instances of SCP-XXXX-c formed in this way on non-organic material have been known to create temporal rifts. Objects partially saturated in SCP-XXXX-b exhibit the properties of [REDACTED]. Research is ongoing for storage use.
Addendum XXXX-01: D-XXXX was provided a screw-driver and tasked with removal of SCP-XXXX-a. The removal of SCP-XXXX-a from SCP-XXXX was followed by an immediate dispersal of SCP-XXXX-b into the air. Necrosis formed upon making contact with D-XXXX’s skin and lungs, dropping SCP-XXXX-a. Attempts to reach SCP-XXXX-a were unsuccessful due to staff’s organic composition. Dispatch of MTF Beta-7 was deemed necessary by administration, resulting in the successful reattachment of SCP-XXXX-a to SCP-XXXX. Object class updated from Safe to Euclid. Containment Procedures adjusted.
Addendum XXXX-02:
Test A - Date
Procedure:
D-XXXX is the designated artist. A D-Class volunteer is assigned to receive SCP-XXXX-c. Security personal present with precautions necessary to recover SCP-XXXX in the event of a detachment. See Addendum XXXX-01.
Intended Form of Artwork:
Fire
Intended Interpretation of Artwork:
Flame
Results:
Recipient experiences extreme burning sensation on the site of SCP-XXXX-c. SCP-XXXX-c continues to produce flame as the recipient falls unconscious from shock. Recipient is taken to medical staff for treatment.
Analysis:
Chemical reactions facilitated by SCP-XXXX do not require reactants and lack any apparent expiration.
Ethics committee must approve all further tests.
Test B - Date
Intended Form of Artwork:
Jet engine
Intended Interpretation of Artwork:
Propulsion
Results:
Denied by ethics committee
Analysis:
N/A
Test C - Date
Intended Form of Artwork:
Stick figure
Intended Interpretation of Artwork:
Walk
Results:
Necrosis forms on the applied area of SCP-XXXX-b. An attempt to replace the necrotic area with skin by using SCP-XXXX is unsuccessful and forms an additional layer of skin over the necrosis.
Analysis:
Movement across the axis of skin or any movement that would require the original form of SCP-XXXX-c to separate from the skin is within the realm of impossible.
Test D - Date
Intended Form of Artwork:
Ram horns
Intended Interpretation of Artwork:
Ram horns
Results:
A pair of poorly-constructed ram horns find their place upon the recipient’s forehead. Later attempts to remove the horns prove successful with the use of proper equipment. The horns appear to slowly grow back. Chemical composition of horns resembles human bone.
Analysis:
The artist’s interpretation has a heavy influence on the particular properties of SCP-XXXX-c. While the growth and strength are accurate, chemical composition is adverse to that of a ram’s.
All further testing requires approval from administrative staff
