Item #: SCP- XXXX
Object Class: safe
Special Containment Procedures: The entirety of SCP - XXXX is kept in a container with a locked lid to prevent any non approved staff from accessing it because of its potential destructive capabilities. The container is kept in a cell that is approximately 3 cubed meters in size. There have been attempts to keep the scp in a solid chemical state and a gaseous chemical state. This has been determined to be impossible as after approximately 5 minutes the scp returns to its liquid form and remains that way even in the appropriate temperature for both chemical forms.
Description: SCP- XXXX refers to a puddle of Water approximately 1.37 liters in size with unique properties. upon visual examination from the naked eye it appears to just be a puddle of water. When viewed on a molecular level SCP-XXXX is seen to be made of H20 just like water but with an unknown element that does not appear on the periodic Table that has been Labeled SCP- XXXX - A. The SCP was discovered in a meteorite that crashed to earth in the Australian outback. The meteorite consisted of mostly iron with trace amounts of led and appeared to have no abnormal contents or formation with the exception of SCP-XXXX.
Given that this scp is a fluid it can be separated into multiple puddles but it will not remain this way for long. When a small amount is taken from the puddle this small mass will begin to move back towards the larger mass. The smaller mass is always examined to move towards the larger mass and not the other way around. The fluid can be slowed but not stopped as it can change its chemical state and acidity/Ph level at will to get past any obstacles. When SCP - XXXX is not separated and is one singular mass the SCP remains Docile with properties that are completely Identical to that of water with the exclusion of the presence of SCP - XXXX - A. The SCP can not be used to hydrate or sustain a person although it should be noted that when in its docile water form microscopic life such as amoebas can be sustained and the fluid can generate mold if kept in the correct conditions in which water can create mold. The SCP is tested on a bi-monthly basis to try and separate and determine the origins of SCP - XXXX- A.
Addendum ####-01: There Have been multiple tests to determine if there is any way to keep SCP - XXXX separated as multiple masses all of which have all failed. There were however 3 tests worthy of Note. The first test was simple with SCP - XXXX being put into a container with an open top. A small amount was taken and put into another open top container. Both containers were put onto scales. And after 5 minutes the small amount of SCP - XXXX that was taken from the main mass had evaporated and the size and weight of the original mass had returned to normal. The next test consisted of a small amount of SCP - XXXX being placed into a sealed clear container of Bullet proof glass. After 5 minutes The small amount of SCP- XXXX became incredibly acidic, melting its container and returning to the original mass. The Final test of note was one in which a D-class subject was given a cup filled with a small amount of SCP- XXXX and was instructed to drink it. Upon consumption The D-Class experienced mild stomach pain. After 1 minute and 30 seconds the D-class attempted to induce vomiting but was stopped by staff in order to observe what would happen. After 3 minutes The D-Class began screaming out in pain. After 4 minutes the D-Class claimed to feel massive burning in their stomach. After 5 minutes the SCP had used its acidic properties to burn a hole through the D-Class’s Stomach and returned to the original mass. The D - Class did not survive.
