Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 7x7x7 m. concrete room with one electronically sealed entrance. No individual is to interact with any letter produced by SCP-XXXX unless authorized by a member of the senior research staff. Any individual that interacts with a letter without authorization is to be terminated effective immediately. XXXX is to be kept under 24 hour video surveillance. Anything pertaining to SCP-XXXX 's activities should be noted for later record.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 1.2 m. wooden angel statue painted with a faded blue shirt and a copper helmet. SCP-XXXX's outward appearance seems to be worn down by natural weathering but all attempts to intentionally damage SCP-XXXX have had no effect. SCP-XXXX has been noted to create sounds of anguish when in contact with these damaging elements and all subjects within a 50 m radius of the containment cell during this period have reported overwhelming feelings of regret and sympathy towards SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX was recovered from ████████ on████████ ██, █████ while on a raid of the location in search of several different SCPs.
SCP-XXXX produces letters at seemingly random intervals that are contained within unmarked manila envelopes sealed with a wax emblem depicting a serpent coiled around an unknown fruit. Production of letters is preceded by a blinding white flash after which it has been noted that there is a slight scent of sulfur. Subjects who have opened and read these letters initially show no physical change, but begin displaying extreme paranoia about an impending threat. 5-10 minutes after opening the letters, SCP-XXXX-1 will begin complaining of sharp pains throughout their upper chest, which x-rays have shown are caused by SCP-XXXX-1's ribcage attempting to pull apart. 20 minutes after first reading the letter, SCP-XXXX-1 will retract into a fetal position and begin screaming in pain and no longer responds to any external stimulus. Shortly after, bone growths begin forcing their way out from SCP-XXXX-1's shoulder blades and continue to extend for the next 30- 35 minutes. Once these growths finish, they begin producing small feather-like objects made up of recycled keratin and bone from SCP-XXXX-1's body that multiply until the growths resemble wings with that span 14 feet across. After the process has concluded, SCP-XXXX-1 will become catatonic and will expire within the next 13-15 minutes from cardiac arrest. Autopsies performed on SCP-XXXX-1 after death show that the process hollows out all internal organs, bones and muscle tissues leaving only their heart intact. The heart, now SCP-XXXX-2, continues to beat even when completely removed from the body. All cases of SCP-XXXX-2 have proven indestructible by any means and are contained in a separate containment cell for future experimentation.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX-2 has responded to contact with water retrieved from █████████. Upon submersion into water, SCP-XXXX-2 dissolves entirely into a grey smoke and has by all accounts been destroyed. Further research is being conducted to see if only water from █████████ will prove effective at destroying SCP-XXXX-2 or if water from similar locations will have the same effect.
