Foreword: The following is a transcript of a containment breach of an undetermined amount of SCP-XXXX-B entities. This lead to a better understanding of SCP-XXXX and a revision to the containment procedures.
Dr. ████████ and Dr. █████ are preparing for further research into SCP-XXXX and its effects, following initial field containment.
[BEGIN LOG]
Researcher Dr. ████████ is seen with Junior Researcher Dr. █████ in Anomalous Research Lab S-31, reading the containment procedures document. SCP-XXXX is within its Safe-Class Standard Container on a trolley, pushed by Dr. █████ into the test chamber.
Dr. ████████ is seen standing at her desk reviewing the containment procedures and voices slight worry, in a humorous tone, over them being insufficient, remarking how the testing form implies an SCP-XXXX-B instance event could occur from within the container. This causes Dr. █████ to express great concern, requesting confirmation that the containment procedures are sufficient.
Before any response can be made, SCP-XXXX's container begins producing sounds suggesting something inside is breaking out. Dr. █████ voices immense concern for the integrity of the container, and its ability to keep the unknown entity inside from escaping. Dr. ████████ attempts to reassure Dr. █████ that they're safe, but is unable to comfort him.
The two security officers, stationed outside the room, are alerted to the emergent threat by both researchers, before SCP-XXXX's container is breached, and out exits a pale and black entity of unknown composition. The entity immediately shows aggression toward the ceiling lights, lunging into the ceiling to disable them. This sudden event causes the researchers to immediately vacate the lab, and usher the security officers to enter. With their torches on and aiming at the creature, which moves at remarkable speed to behind a chair in order to avoid direct contact with the light, the two officers move into the room and attempt to locate the entity.
Note: The visibility from the security cameras is greatly compromised by the lack of sufficient light, and limited to the torches' illumination.
One security officer opens fire underneath the chair, in an attempt to disable the entity, but voices a lack of success. The second security officer moves to the other end of the room in hopes of finding an angle on the entity. He orders his colleague to call in a response team, in light of this containment breach, who complies.
With help from the researchers, the security officer is able to inform Tactical Response Command of the nature of the containment breach. A tactical response team can be seen running down the halls with appropriate equipment soon after the call.
The other security officer crouches down meanwhile, and checks for the entity behind the chair, then explaining it has disappeared. He walks over to the breached container and looks inside it with his torch, obscuring the view. He begins to exclaim something before being cut off by a new entity slashing his throat, before escaping into darkness. The remaining security officer voices expletives before retreating to the entrance and shining his torch around the room trying to locate the entities.
Two nearby security officers are seen arriving at the lab, after being alerted to the containment breach, in an effort to assist before the tactical response team arrives. After querying the stationed security officer about the situation, they reach a vague conclusion of there being approximately two entities inside. They make the decision to locate the entities before the tactical response team arrives, entering the room while scanning with their torches.
Managing to locate 3 entities and containing them with their torches, the entities show signs of pain, and damage can be seen across its surface, akin to the burning of paper. Exclamations of joy and insults toward the entities are heard from all security officers, following the apparent success of their torches in combating the entity.
One of the officers voices his concern that there may be more entities left, immediately after which the camera picks up vague movement behind them, originating from SCP-XXXX's container. There is not sufficient light sources to investigate however, and because of this a security guard is attacked from the dark by a new entity, being suddenly pulled out of vision. This causes him to drop his torch, leaving one entity briefly unexposed to light, and it is seen escaping into the shadows.
The 2 remaining security officers keep their light on the entities, while maneuvering toward the lab entrance. The attacked security officer is heard making muffled screams for a short period, before [DATA EXPUNGED]. One security officer is seen puking, before they leave the room and close the door.
The response team, consisting of 12 members, is seen arriving at the scene, splitting into groups of four. One group prepares to enter the lab, as another position themselves behind. The remaining group, including the team leader, quickly extract relevant information from the visibly traumatised security officers, before ordering them to the side.
As the first member scans the angles slowly with his torch, they locate 2 entities, and the bodies of the killed security officers. Officer ███████ can be seen making slight movements, but attempted communication is unsuccessful. The other security officer is seen along the other side of the room, and the two located entities are [REDACTED].
Following what was assumed to be a full clear, the first group enters completely, radially scattering their torches in an attempt to cover the entire room. The powerful torches are enough to stop them, and they exhibit the expected "burning" effect. Tactical response team members that witnessed this expressed visual and audible disgust.
One of the team members moves toward officer ███████ but is interrupted as an unknown entity dismembers his arm, causing his torch to fall down. Following this sudden attack, and loud expletives from the team member, an entity is seen tackling him. This provokes the second group to move in, and the two groups expand radially, covering nearly the entire room in light.
The dismembered team member is quickly located, out of vision from the camera. an entity is on top of him, [REDACTED], but stopped by the light. As more team members enter the room, one more entity is located and contained, presumed to be the last.
The tactical response team leader, having finished querying the researchers, makes an educated decision to move SCP-XXXX to within the chamber and seal it. As two members begin to perform this, a new entity leaps out of the container, marring one of the members. Acting quickly, the other member shines her torch onto the ceiling where the entity was seen escaping to, causing it to fall down.
Some of the other entities are seen terminating. The marred member is seen kicking the trolley into the test chamber, followed by his teammate sealing the door shut. More members flood the room, and react vividly to the sight of security officer [REDACTED]. Security officer ███████ is found dead, and expletives are voiced by several personnel following the news. After a few minutes all entities are terminated, and the containment breach is called of.
[END LOG]
Post Incident: It was determined that security officer ███████ died from blood loss shortly after the tactical response team had arrived. Security officer [REDACTED] was eventually collected and cremated. Tactical response team members all recovered from their respective injuries. Some witnesses to security officer [REDACTED]'s state were given amnestics per individual requests. The containment specialists in charge of the previous containment procedures have been reprimanded.
