Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 5m by 5m by 3m (16.4ft by 16.4ft by 9.8ft) greenhouse on Site-12. Spotlights capable of producing light of wavelengths between 400 and 700 nanometers must be posted around and pointed at SCP-XXXX’s containment structure at all times. These spotlights are to be turned on between 1800 and 0600 hours, or during non-sunny weather (rain, snow, cloudy, etc.) A backup generator will be used during power outages.

At 1200 hours every day, SCP-XXXX must be trimmed to at least 0.5m (1.6ft) of length away from the containment structure. It is recommended that either Dr.Green or expendable D-class personnel are used for the trimming of SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a semi-sentient specimen from the philodendron group of vined plants. SCP-XXXX will grow and shift to find the nearest source of sunlight, and has been recorded to grow up to ███ feet in length to do so. Tendrils of SCP-XXXX can seemingly pass through materials when no sunlight is available. How SCP-XXXX achieves this is currently being hypothesised, one theory states that SCP-XXXX grows on the atomic scale to grow between the atoms of the blocking material.

SCP-XXXX is hostile towards other living organisms¹, and will "eat" by dragging the victim under the ground, supposedly to fertilize the soil beneath it. So far, ██ people have been seen to be pulled under SCP-XXXX, and it is unknown how many wild animals or plants have done so as well.

Addendum-1: SCP-XXXX was created when Dr. Green was testing a new quantum computer system that might have been useful for containing SCP-███. After opening a side panel for maintenance, Dr. Green reached for a voltmeter and instead knocked his potted vine friend plant into the computer, short-circuiting the motherboard. The vines instantly grew ██ feet to find the nearest source of sunlight. SCP-XXXX might be able to understand that it was created by Dr. Green, as that would explain the non-aggression towards him.

Addendum-2: An upgrade to "Keter" object class has been considered, as there is a possibility that SCP-XXXX will grow out of it's containment structure and into the Site-12 containment vault, causing extreme chances of a Keter-level Breach and [DATA EXPUNGED].
