SCP-4707 photographed after containment breach.

Item #: SCP-4707

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4707 is to be contained in a spacious container that is to be cleaned once per week by Class-D personnel. The container should be outfitted with hay, and other cattle to maintain SCP-4707's physical and mental health. Furthermore, it is to be walked outdoors daily for an hour in close watch of foundation staff. It has to be provided with clean water and dead human flesh twice per day. Deceased Class D personnel that have been dead no longer than a 2-3 days is an appropriate source and to be de-boned and sanitized before feeding.

All interaction with SCP-4707 is to be conducted while wearing heavy-full body suits that are to be sanitized prior to interaction to prevent SCP-4707 from ingesting DNA. The reproductive details of SCP-4707 are not to be disclosed with its caretakers, as the lack of awareness of the doppelganger prevents the obsessive behavior from manifesting. If a bite were to occur, the bitten is to be contained in a separate facility from the entity before it is born.

If the procedures are neglected leaving SCP-4707 either malnourished or lethargic, it will initiate one of three scenarios. Under-feeding or mistreating it over time will cause it to become pregnant with a calf. The pregnancy will last about ten months and will consume most of the nutrients of SCP-4707. After its birth, it will expire and the calf will consume its flesh. If SCP-4707 experiences sudden, drastic lack of food, it will become violent to its caretakers, and eventually expire. Upon expiration, a cow somewhere in the vicinity will become pregnant with a calf with DNA identical to SCP-4707. Attempts to prevent that from happening by changing the location of the containment unit to a facility many miles away from cows has not stopped this event from occurring

Description:
SCP-4707 is cow with white fur caused by albinism. While it does not seem unusual beyond its rare lack of pigmentation, it does lack horns and an udder. Its anomalous properties however lie in its feeding and reproductive behaviors. Despite not being prone to violence or aggressive behavior, SCP-4707's main food source is human flesh. SCP-4707 does not attack humans when well-fed and only goes out of her way to feed when severely malnourished.

Its most unusual quality however is its reproductive quality. If it were to consume living human DNA, most commonly by biting a living human it will become pregnant. Within three months, SCP-4707 will give birth to a humanoid resembling the person whose DNA it consumed, fully grown to the age of the original and with all their memories intact. After examination, it was concluded that the entity is an exact clone of the bitten subject.

This clone has virtually no distinction from the original except for being rid of any injuries, scars, or illnesses that the original might possess. Any surgeries or amputations appear undone. It also claims to be the subject despite understanding that the circumstances of their creation. In most cases, both of the subjects would be profoundly disturbed by the double and acquire a profound obsession with getting rid of the other. Each have exhibited violent behavior when containment was attempted even when sedated. Currently, six people are affected by this obsession and are kept separated in appropriate facilities.

SCP-4707 does not exhibit signs of awareness of these events and is indifferent to the clone and the bitten after the clone is born. It does however exhibit palatable behavior and is friendly toward its caretakers who affectionately nicknamed it "Lizzie."

Addendum 4707-1: Circumstances of retrieval.
SCP-4707 was recovered from a farm in Voronezh, Russia. It was reportedly born from a regular cow mother which seems to be caused by an expiration event after being underfed in its previous incarnation. The SCP was brought to the foundation's attention after reports of a farmhand reporting in for work and witnessing a calf consuming one of the farm's employees has made the news. It was described as a case of "Mad Cow Disease" and did not arouse suspicion. The calf was disposed of by the local animal control forces. It was categorized as an anomalous occurrence when similar reports kept popping up all over Voronezh within the next two years. Foundation agents managed to contain SCP-407 by investigating albinism reports in cows in the area and coming across a frail, white calf that inhabited the one of the local farms. A heavy safety protocol was followed and SCP-4707 showed no resistance to the escort. It was contained within a small room with minimal accommodation before its first instance of expiration.

Addendum 4707-2: Event 4707-A
Unaware of SCP-4707's unusual reproductive tendencies, the personnel charged with taking care of the SCP was not wearing protective gear. Despite being aware of its diet, they interacted casually with SCP-4707 due to its mellow, and often friendly nature. [REDACTED], charged with researching the cattle reported being nipped by the cow as he was documenting its behavior in-person. He was not alarmed as it proceed to lick the wound and then [REDACTED] which was taken as playful behavior by the researcher.

As time passed, SCP-4707 has been noted to become pregnant which was alarming as it has been in the foundation for fourteen months by that time. An ultrasound revealed a humanoid fetus developing in its womb. No harmful effects were observed and it was concluded to be a healthy pregnancy for both the SCP and the fetus.

SCP-4707 gave birth to an adult male identical to [REDACTED]. For the first two days, it showed no signs of alertness, after which it started to make requests, claiming to be [REDACTED]. At first, [REDACTED] was fascinated with his presumed clone and conducted the necessary research before concluding it to be a beyond-perfect clone of itself. After a few weeks, however, he started to show signs of paranoia, and started to sound irritated at the mention of the clone. He began calling the clone "it" and "thing" while repeatedly denying it food and attention. The clone, in-turn began to exhibit signs of distress and fear. [REDACTED] was taken off the case after an attempt was made to dispose of it and both were administered heavy amnestics. To this day, both believe that they are the only version of [REDACTED] and are currently working for the foundation.

This has also happened to a Class-D that failed to report a nip sometime after the first case. This time, however, the original Class-D managed to dispose of the clone and was later terminated.

Addendum 4707-3: Event 4707-B
After an experiment which consisted of attempting to feed SCP-4707 beef and pork instead of human flesh, it expired. While it did consume the replacement meat for about two weeks, it did not receive the necessary nutrients, and died severely malnourished. Reports later came in siting unexplained animal attacks and "sightings of a white cow" which signaled the newest incarnation of SCP-4707. It was later apprehended, but not after dealing with two more cases of clones this SCP has created.

Addendum 4707-4: Event 4707-C
After the current instance of SCP-4707 has reached ten years of age, it became pregnant again, despite no reported nips or bites by the personnel. After ten months it gave birth to a calf and expired. The calf was reported to be genetically identical to its mother and it is speculated as a process of rejuvenation as most regular cows' reproductive cycles start to decline after the age of ten.
