Special containment procedure: scp is to be kept in a 5 by 5 meter room suspended in the air by magnetic fields. Windows may be present as well as multiple doors. Windows are not to be opened under any circumstance. At least 1 door must be present on the structure. The inside of the structure is to be decorated with 1 reptile terrarium, 1 couch, 1 coffee table and 1 flat screen tv arranged into any formation with the terrarium always being in the center of a wall (this is the minimum requirement for scp -1 to appear).
If scp is to be in its dormant state it is not to be interacted with.
If scp is to be activated to it's 'animated' state it is to be interacted with as if a child were playing with it untill movement is detected.
If scp is to be kept in its 'animated' state it is to be interacted with once a week and no more.
If it's to be advanced to its 'living' state it is to be interacted with atleast once a day untill autonomous gecko like behaviour is detected.
If it is to be kept in its 'living' state it is to be interacted with once a day preferably by d-class staff.
If it is to be degraded to any lower state than it's current one it us not to be interacted with.
Prolonged contact with scp is forbidden and any symptoms associated with scp are to be reported emediately and the subject is to be placed emediately in quarantine until symptoms disappear.
A permanent link between the containment facility and anything connected to solid ground is strictly forbidden.
Written permission from the head researcher is required to interact with scp if its in its dormant state and additional o5 approval is required if its in its animated state or living state.
Description:
Scp appears as a highly detailed stuffed toy in the shape of a gecko. The inside however is filled with electronics and mechatronics appearing similar to that of Anderson Electronics, though no connection has been found as of now.
Despite the fact that scp appears to be a children's toy, no connection to Dr.wondertainment has been found. When cut into the scp does not display to have any mechanical parts and instead is stuffed with cotton. The mechanical components were discovered when scp was subjected to an x-ray scan.
The first anomalous effect of scp appears when interacted with. When interacted with for long enough the scp starts to move randomly, at this point it will keep moving randomly, usually in circles untill interacted with or until it is given a command which an actual gecko would also be able to perform. When given a command it can not perform such as a kill command it would simply crawl upon the target and rest on top of their head. The anomalous effect changes and scp now shows behaviour of a domesticated gecko. The scp still responds to commands the same way but when tasked with a problem to solve it now does this in a more efficient manner. when tasked with a decision it now consistently chooses the most beneficial choice for their most interacted person/owner or the most recently interacted with person if the former is not present, this is their perceived owner. Ownership can be instantly transferred by saying "I give [given name of scp] to you" or a variation of such. Ownership can be relinquished by saying "i don't want to play with you any more" or a variation of such or if not played with for 30 days. The language of the commands appears to not matter. The anomaly can become self aware and seemingly have an intelligence equivalent to humans. Scp is capable of communication through writing, though the only language it currently writes is in the form of unknown runes, no progress has been made in translating these runes and attempts at learning any language have thus far yielded no results.
The second anomalous effect appears in the form of transforming any enclosed area in a similar way to it's own makeup, normal on the outside, mechanical on the inside. This effect applies to anything within the enclosed structure including organic life. So far there are no connections to scp-217 have been found.
When the transformation is at full completion any object and organic life will fade out of our dimension and into a different dimension, designated scp -1, upon removal of scp. Converted organic life will be referred to as scp -2
Scp -1 can be accessed by opening any door that can not be seen through and has no windows facing into the same room on the same wall the door is on. The This door leads to a mirror of the same room. If objects or organic life was faded out of our dimension and into scp -1 they will appear on the opposite side of the door in an identical layout as in our dimension. Subjects who have been converted and faded into scp -1 behave normally and seemingly without knowledge of scp or scp -1. Whenever the layout in our dimension changes so does it in scp -1, the replacement of furniture does not affect the quantity of similar objects in scp -1 and after an initial set of furniture has faded into scp -1 a second set will not fade away, it will however still be converted. The addition of other organic life does fade into scp -1, once converted and faded into scp -1, other instances of scp -2 behave as if the new addition has always been there and treat them as family.
A brief drone survey through scp -1 revealed that nearby buildings are laid out similar to a typical American suburb. Besides these suburbs there is one massive tower visible in the distance. Other instances of scp -2 have been seen wandering around and interacting with other instances of scp -2. Though most are similar to humans, there are instances of scp -2 which are vastly different from humans and match no species known to the foundation. Instances of scp -2 appear to not react and not even know the existence of non-converted material, machines or life and thus will not react to non-converted personnel or drones.
Any material found except loose particles is made up in the same way as scp, machinery on the inside while the outside appears normal.
