Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-A is to be kept under observation at all times by embedded agents in the location that SCP-A manifests in, particularly in the training and floor walker departments. At least ten new civilian workers need to be recruited and trained in the host company's processes each month to keep up with SCP-A's demands, though this number might increase depending on economic conditions and the staffing needs of the host company. If recruitment falls below needed levels, D-class personnel can be used to fill out the quota to prevent delay1 SCP-A relocating.
Potential manifestation locations must be checked every month by research staff, increasing to weekly if recruitment falls off or SCP-A stops manifesting in the contained area.
Description: SCP-A is a phenomenon that manifests in call centers in the United States, typically those that deal with financial servicing, though there have been exceptions. The current manifestation of SCP-A is in an office building in █████, Utah, run by █████ Inc as an inbound call center for ███████ ███ credit card servicing.

*What happens when a death god has to retire his tools?
http://www.scp-wiki.net/forum/t-1168175/ankou-s-tools#post-2268810
*This mentions Ankou but gives no real description until almost all the way through SCP-Z-1. By that point people wouldn't be invested enough to continue.
*In summary: You need a better hook and something to accommodate the less than dedicated readers.
*And how would we (the reader and in-universe researcher) know who/what created these items? Are they sentient and claim as such? Is there a label, stating its maker? Or is there a legend describing these items?
*You may want to explain what are these "objects", as in how do they look like.
*According to Dictionary.com, "immaterial" typically means unimportant. Of course, "incorporeal" is also a legit meaning for the word, but not as well-known.
Take it as you will, though I suggest a bit of re-phrasing. Say, "SCP-Z-1a is intangible when cutting a human…"
P.S. I think you should write out all sub-designations in full, as in "SCP-Z-1a" instead of "-1a". It comes as slightly unprofessional, and the 2 terms mean different things. For example, "SCP-Z-1a" specifically refers to a certain item while just "-1a" could refer to "SCP-X-1a" or "SCP-Y-1a".
*This cross-linking feels like a shout-out to SCP-158 while not adding value to your article. I mean, the reader can already guess it is a soul-stealing item here. Unless you want to imply that SCP-158 and your SCP are grounded in similar concepts… which I felt it won't stand out much…
*The ellipsis comes as unprofessionally written for the in-universe scientific document. Instead, you can try things like "Below is a transcription of a manifestation of SCP-Z-1e"
*The items are described rather plainly. There is little hook to grab the reader's attention. I would say that it suffers from outright telling the readers what is the thing from the start. You can leave it towards the ending, where you imply or hint at its creator.
*Frankly speaking, Ankou's speeches could work better as interview logs. While it is intriguing for it to be talking about aspects of human history, what does it all add in the greater scheme of your story?
Special Containment Procedures: All SCP-Z instances are to be kept either in a standard secured locker or the site's storage garage, to be taken out of storage for testing purposes and monthly maintenance only.
Description: SCP-Z is a collection of objects and machines that were created by a being that calls itself Ankou, the Celtic personification of death. Each part has effects that either kill when used on a subject or store objects created when a death results from using SCP-Z.2 How exactly Ankou uses the SCP-Z objects to harvest humans without being seen or why it harvests humans in the first place is unclear.
SCP-Z-1 is a pair of objects, -1a is a Middle Ages period scythe and -1b is a period horse drawn cart. Under normal conditions, the objects look and act like their mundane counterparts. However, if SCP-Z-1a is used as a weapon on a human being, rather difficult since the scythe is not designed to do so, -1a immaterially passes through the subject. Once the blade of the scythe has passed through the subject, the blade flashes blue and the subject will then fall to the floor. Testing of the subject's body shows complete cessation of bodily functions. The specific causes for this varies from heart attacks to strokes.
A few seconds after SCP-Z-1a's use, SCP-Z-1b activates and manifests four (4) black horses that are hitched up to -1b. The manifestations, designated below as SCP-Z-1c, appear to be fully bridled Bidet Breton horses. SCP-Z-1c instances appear to be well trained and respond well to direction from a driver.
Use of SCP-Z-1a also manifests one (1) cloth wrapped object, designated SCP-Z-1d below, that lies flat in the bed of the cart. Comparing the dimensions of the object to the deceased subject has found that they are identical. Positive identification has been impossible to prove, since all attempts to remove the cloth have been unsuccessful.
Study of SCP-Z-1a immediately after usage on a subject has found traces of a substance that resembles the gas that SCP-158 removes from its subjects. Multiple uses of SCP-Z-1a on subjects while -1b has been activated cause more -1d instances to manifest in the bed of the cart. SCP-Z-1c and -1d instances remain manifested until local sunrise, when the fade and vanish from sight.
If either SCP-Z-1a and -1b have not maintained for five (5) or more weeks and are touched, an instance of SCP-Z-1e, designated as Ankou, manifests. Ankou appears to be a dark being, completely covered in black attire, a robe and a large hat. The face of the being is covered by the hat. An image of SCP-Z-1a is resting in the beings right hand, blade pointing towards the subject who touched SCP-Z-1. The manifestation then speaks to the subject…
"Hello, (name of subject). Good to see that someone has gotten around to looking after my tools. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ankou." The being bows to the subject. Straightening, it continues speaking. "Now, you're probably wondering why you should take care of these objects. After all, you didn't ask for this. Well, I have a reason for you." Ankou lifts SCP-Z-1a from the ground and points the scythe's blade at the subjects throat. "If these tools are not well taken care of within a year and a day, I will come and take your soul to the Otherworld."
After holding that position for a few seconds, Ankou chuckles and rests SCP-Z-1a on its shoulder. "I find it odd that death is a feared thing for humans. Even after seeing millions of you pass through out these centuries, you still react the same to my coming." It shakes it's head in apparent amusement. "You always make the funniest faces when you see me. Especially the people who die from being beheaded. If I didn't know better, I would have thought that the Reign of Terror was a present from Gwydion."
Ankou sighs, grabbing the scythe with both hand and leaned on it. "This used to be a lot more enjoyable job. Before the population boom happened. Before my brothers up in the Isles retired. These tools," indicating SCP-Z-1a and -1b, "can't keep up with the job requirements."
Ankou shrugs, then continues, "So I had to upgrade to better tools. But these have served me well, so I need someone to look after them. And who knows? Maybe you humans will stop dying by the dozen and I won't need to use the reaper anymore."
Origin: SCP-Z-1 was discovered in ██/██/19██ when its previous caretaker in ██████, ██████, France died intestate, and their possessions were being repossessed by the state. When SCP-Z-1e manifested, the resulting panic led to police intervention, which brought the situation to the Foundation's attention. Observers of SCP-Z-1's effects were administered Class C amnesiacs.
Addendum-1: Request to stop maintenance of SCP-Z and allow SCP-Z-1e/Ankou to aggressively manifest for observation. Pending O5 approval Request denied. See Addendum-2.
Description: SCP-Z-2 is two (2) machines, -2a is an original █████████ reaper-binder and -2b is a ████████████ steam-powered threshing machine. As with SCP-Z-1, both machines appear normal under when casually observed, but exhibit extraordinary effects. For example, when SCP-Z-2a is sat in and the cutter bar is lowered, two (2) horses, designated as SCP-Z-2c, manifest hitched to -2a. When directed, -2c will pull -2a along, turning the cutter bar and operating the binding mechanism on the machine's right side. If a human subject is placed before SCP-Z-2a and is hit by the cutter bar, the subject's body will be violently pushed to the left side, away from -2a.
At the same time, a bright substance, designated SCP-Z-2d, will be torn away from the subject and pass through the machine and come out through the binding mechanism. The substance resembles sheaves of wheat, though -2d glows a variety of colors, depending on the subject effected by SCP-Z-2, with similar results as SCP-158's experiments.
If SCP-Z-2d is put in -2b's hopper, the threshing machine activates, taking the sheaves into itself. After a minute or two of running, a much reduced -2d comes out, now looking like luminous wheat grains. Where the rest of -2d goes during the process is unclear, though it has been theorized that the resulting chaff is used to fuel -2b.
As demonstrated before with SCP-Z-1d instances, the -2d grains will vanish from sight at dawn.
If either SCP-Z-2a and -2b have not maintained for five (5) or more weeks and are touched, an instance of SCP-Z-1e/2e/Ankou manifests near -2a, with its right hand resting on the object. However, Ankou is dressed in a button-up white shirt, a black business suit, circa 1950s, a black tie around its neck, and a black fedora with a thin dark red band. The face of Ankou is unobservable, seemingly hidden by the shadow of the fedora. The manifestation then speaks to the subject…
"Greetings, (name of subject). Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Ankou." The manifestation takes its right hand off of SCP-Z-2a, reaches out, and waits for the subject to clasp hands.3 After the hand shake, Ankou rests its hand on the reaper again.
"Thank you, once again, for taking ownership of my tools for me. They have functioned well these last eighty years, greatly reducing the work required for the Harvest. Unfortunately," Ankou says, lifting its hand off of SCP-Z-2a and gesturing at -2b, "these are no match for your own bloodlust." The being shivered and took the lapels of its suit coat and adjusted their fit.
"I thought I had seen carnage when the Romans came and burned Celtic villages to the ground. Or when the Black Death rolled through European ports. Or during the Napoleonic Wars. But no," Ankou says sadly, shaking its head, "none of those things prepared me for the World Wars. They were insane! One was bad enough. I had to rush everything, going at breakneck speed, just to keep the souls from decaying."
"And then what happens?" Ankou asks, raising its hands into the air. "May 1940 comes around and I have another mess to clean up again." Ankou shakes its head again and leans against SCP-Z-2a. "And don't get me started on the bombing raids, on either side of the Channel. People think the Otherworld looks unearthly, but I swear that the most alien ground I've ever seen was the aftermath of an Allied bombing run."
Ankou then is silent for one minute, then continues in an astonished voice. "But apparently you have done far worse things elsewhere in the world. The cries that emanated from the East were soul-chilling. And that is no hyperbole," it says, shaking an index finger at the subject, "since out of anyone in existence, I am the foremost expert on what would chill a soul." Ankou chuckles softly, then sighs again.
"Sure, it's calm now and I'm finally up to date on soul collecting, but I never want to be surprised like that again. Especially if either the Soviet Union or the United States get an itchy trigger finger and World War Three starts. So," Ankou says, pointing at the subject, "that's where you come in. I need you to take care of these tools." He gestures as SCP-Z-2a and -2b, then continues, "Your facilities are especially equipped to maintain my tools and it would add to your collection of 19th century farming equipment. All I ask is for them to be well maintained every month." Ankou 'stares' at the subject.4 "I'll know if you don't and I'll be very angry. You don't want to know what I do when I'm angry."
Ankou 'stares' at the subject for ten seconds, then relaxes and places its hand on SCP-Z-2a.5 "The best thing about this is getting an upgrade. I've been on the look out for a new tool and these new combine-harvesters look amazing. To imagine simplifying the work of harvesting to something so simple as driving a cart…" Ankou then sighs in contentment.
But then it straightens and says, "Oh, almost forgot. Don't play with my tools. They are not toys. And especially," it says, covering where its eyes should be, "don't feed anyone into the threshing machine, okay?"
Origin: SCP-Z-2 was found by the Foundation in ██/██/19██ at the █████████ Museum of Farming located at ██████, ████, United Kingdom. The artifacts had been prominently displayed in the 19th century section, as a "Testament to British Farming Expertise." Records of the museum show that SCP-Z-2 was first displayed in 19██, under a Dr. ████████'s tenure as the curator. However, after Dr. ████████ died in 19██, the objects were put into storage until they apparently activated during a routine inventory check. Strangely, the incident wasn't reported to the local police department. Instead, the curator covered the incident up and didn't do anything about it. A year passed, then a fatal incident occurred on a Monday morning, ██/██/19██.
Just before opening, screams were reportedly heard from the building storing SCP-Z-2. Upon investigation, the remains of █ museum employees were discovered throughout the building. The cause of death of the employees is varied: multiple lacerations from steel blades, crushing injuries apparently from >1 ton weights, blood loss from removal of limbs, etc. One of the employees that was killed was the current museum curator, whose body was torn into pieces and scattered across the site.
The resulting police investigation and the mode of death brought the incident to the Foundation's attention. Observers of SCP-Z-2's effects and the police investigators were administered Class B amnesiacs. SCP-Z-2 was removed from the museum and brought to its current storage site.
Addendum-2: The request to stop maintenance of SCP-Z and allow SCP-Z-1e/2e/Ankou to aggressively manifest for observation is denied, due to having a clear example for what it would do to an organization that didn't follow its wishes. At best, it would just kill the people around SCP-Z at the time. At worst, it could wipe out the entire Foundation. At any case, I don't think we want to deal with the 'Combine of Death.' - Dr. █████ ██/██/19██
Description: SCP-Z-3a is a ███████████████ combine, model █████. As with the previous SCP-Z objects, -3a acts like a mundane combine in all respects, except for not needing diesel fuel, until it is activated by hitting a human subject with the header on the front of the harvester. The subject's body is forcefully launched to the right side, while the familiar bright substance, designated SCP-Z-3b, is separated from the body and fed into -3a's internal machinery. During the thirty seconds of operation, -3b is processed, reduced, and then stored in the hopper on top of the machine.6
As demonstrated before with SCP-Z-1d and -2d instances, the -3b grains will vanish from sight at dawn.
If SCP-Z-3 has not maintained for five (5) or more weeks and is touched, an instance of SCP-Z-3c, again designated as Ankou, manifests. Ankou appears to be a dark being, this time completely covered in the same black attire that it appeared with SCP-Z-1, a robe and a large hat. The face of the being is again covered by the hat. An image of SCP-Z-1a is resting in the beings right hand, blade pointing away from the subject who touched SCP-Z-3. The manifestation then speaks to the subject…
"Hello, (name of subject). Normally I would introduce myself, but you already know about me, don't you?" It chuckles as it walks towards SCP-Z-3a. "Yes, imagine my surprise when I discover that one super-secret organization had gotten its hands on all of my old tools." It then places its left hand on the chassis of -3a. After a few seconds of silence, Ankou turns towards the subject again.
"While I was thinking of what to say to you, I briefly looked through your files. I was impressed with your apparent track record, though I find your self-confidence amusing. After all," it says while it shrugs, "I got in and out fairly easily and I know of a lot more things that are more hostile to human life than I am."
"Thank you, again, for taking care of my tools, but I'll hope you forgive me for taking my scythe and carriage back. You see, I'm retiring." Ankou sighs and leans against SCP-Z-3a. "For 25 hundred years have I reaped the souls of the descendants of the Celts, long after the rest of my associates returned to the Otherworld." It shrugged again, radiating amusement. "Death stops for no one, after all."“However,” it says, with a nonchalant air about it, “I was approached by another, I guess you would call him a god, and he offered to take my place in exchange for putting a good word for him in the Otherworld. Apparently he had made himself unwelcome in his home pantheon. So,” it says patting the shoulder of the subject, “good luck with your new psychopomp. You’ll need it.”
Origin: SCP-Z-3a was found inside the storage site where the other SCP-Z objects were located on ██/██/20██. Video tapes of the incident were wiped, security personnel were unable to recall anything of the event, and the locks and other security measures of the site appeared to be uncompromised. SCP-Z-1 was found missing at the same time.
Item #: SCP-YYYY
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-Y-1 is to be suspended and chained inside a 2 1/2 tallx1 meter diameter steel tank with water. The tank should be stored in a standard-sized containment unit, containing a camera to record any entry into the containment unit. Any human entering the containment unit should be fitted with a fire suit and an explosive collar, and given metal tongs to handle SCP-Y-1 without becoming a SCP-Y-2 instance.
Testing of SCP-Y-1 can only be authorized by a level 4 researcher and must be under remote observation at all times by the current project head. If control of SCP-Y is lost during testing, all personnel in the testing chamber are to be terminated by activating their collars. Once SCP-Y-1 ceases movement, D-class personnel can be sent to secure the object and move it back into its containment tank.
Description: SCP-Y-1 is a 2 meter long spear, with an ash pole and a 16 cm wide leaf-shaped iron spearhead, weighing about 10 kilograms. The pole is intricately carved with unknown symbols.
When in contact with human blood, the spear consumes up to five liters of the liquid every hour. Once left without blood to consume, SCP-Y-1 will start to heat up by five degrees °C every second, to a maximum temperature of 250 °C. When not restrained, held by a human subject, or actively consuming blood, SCP-Y-1 seeks out the nearest suitable bearer (hereafter designated as SCP-Y-2) and flies at the target up to a top speed of 120 m/s. SCP-Y-1 can maneuver in the air to avoid obstacles, penetrate up to fifteen millimeters of steel plate, and kill other humans between it and its chosen bearer.
When SCP-Y-1 is held by a human subject, the bearer will become highly aggravated and attacks whatever most angers the subject. This can range from a single person that provokes SCP-Y-2 to an entire nation state.7 This aggravated state continues indefinitely, even when the initial target is killed, moving onto another target until SCP-Y-2 is terminated by destroying the brain or separating the head from the body. Reliable methods of termination include: .50 caliber bullets, high explosives, and decapitation. Any other injury will only increase SCP-Y-2's aggression.
When the spear is thrown, SCP-Y-1 will always hit the target, regardless of the force, direction, or distance of the throw. If thrown at a vehicle or building, SCP-Y-1 will probe at the object until a point where it can break through and strike at the targets within the object. Of the ██ tests conducted, almost all hits successfully killed the target, defeating all types of body armor, due to it going for any chink in the target's armor, from face plates to joints. Only armored vehicles and bunkers with thick enough armor and viewing slits smaller than SCP-Y-1, have kept SCP-Y's targets alive.
Discovery: SCP-YYY came into the Foundation's ownership in 199█, after SCP-YYY was used in a number of engagements by the Irish Republican Army against occupying British forces in Northern Ireland. Survivors reported coming into contact with a small squad of terrorists, one of which was a SCP-Y-2 instance. Notably, the few survivors of these engagements were in vehicles that showed signs of being hit repeatedly by SCP-Y-1 as they escaped.
Once these reports reached the Foundation, a Mobile Task Force, MTF-Iota-13 "InterFU", was sent to Ireland, found and engaged the IRA cell that possessed SCP-Y. After sustaining ███ casualties among the allied forces, SCP-Y was contained and sent to Site-██. All non-Foundation personnel that had contacted SCP-Y were administered Class B amnestics.
Item #: SCP-XXXX Turn the sphere into something else, and tell more about the affects.
SCP-X just after activation.
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-X is to be kept in a high vacuum environment, secured in a 5 high x 5 wide x 10 long meter steel vacuum chamber. The artifact is to be kept under guard by at least two armed staff members at all times two automated sentry guns.8. Access to the sphere outside of testing situations is prohibited.
In the event of an unauthorized opening of the vacuum chamber, the immediate 100 meter area around the artifact should be evacuated. Once the situation that caused the breach of the vacuum chamber is resolved, remote controlled robots should be used to close and depressurize the chamber once again. Any personnel that could have been affected by the artifact will be psychologically evaluated and be terminated if the personnel are judged to be mentally incurable from SCP-X's effects by Level 2 personnel.
Description: SCP-X is a glowing white sphere, roughly 2 meters in diameter, currently placed in Site ██/Sector 5 for storage. The artifact is a solid object and can be moved via application of mechanical force, either by ropes, poles, robots, ███████████, etc. The sphere floats 1 meter above the floor. The artifact has no effect when placed in a high vacuum environment.9
When placed in a non-vacuum environment, subjects report that they hear singing emanating from the artifact. Descriptions of the voices vary greatly, but always related to religious connotations and are described as 'beautiful', 'breath-taking', etc. Reported song styles have included Gregorian chanting, Southern Baptist hymns, Tibetan Buddhist throat singing and [REDACTED], depending on the religious preference of the listener. The exact nature of the voices is interminable, as electronic recording devices can only register a high-pitched tone in the 1MHz range coming from the artifact. Animals seem not to be affected by the artifact in anyway.
After being exposed to the artifact for a time, between 5-15 minutes of exposure, the affected personnel feel compelled to touch the artifact. When asked why, they state that they feel that they will find 'enlightenment', 'heaven', 'Nirvana', etc., depending on the personnel's belief system.
If touched by human hands, the brightness of the sphere instantly and has been recorded to increase by at least 100,000 lumens and the sound volume from the artifact increases to at least 115 decibels, before the failure of the electronic equipment. The subject who touched the artifact is destroyed, as evidenced by a small pile of ashes, usually measuring between 1-3 kg, left wherever the subject was standing before touching the artifact.
Any human observer instinctively turns away from the artifact when activated and any electronic device is short-circuited and rendered unusable. When restrained and forced to look at the object when activated, the observer becomes blind and is unable to recall what they saw, even with use of █████████. The light emitted by the artifact blinds and effectively destroys any electronic device recording the artifact at the time of activation.
If loosed from their restraints, the affected observer will move towards the artifact, even if moved away from the area around the artifact. When asked why, the subject will say that 'it's calling to me', 'the Spirit is telling me to', 'don't you hear the voices?', etc. When stopped, the subject becomes violent and starts attacking anyone who stops them from getting to the artifact. If successfully restrained from going to the artifact the subject quickly descends into a deep depression.
Within a few hours of exposure to the artifact, between 6-12 hours, the subject will slip into a coma. No non-SCP treatment has been successful in treating these subjects, either before the coma sets in or afterwards.
Antidepressant medication: Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, Serotonin modulators and stimulators, Norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors, Tricyclic antidepressants, Monoamine oxidase inhibitors, Atypical antipsychotics, Electroconvulsive therapy, Psychotherapy, Bright light therapy, and ███████████████.
SCP-X has been found to affect humans within 100 m of itself while out of a vacuum environment that does not depend on the subject to hear the 'voices' of SCP-X. This seems to correlate with the ultrasonic pitch that is registered on electronic devices. The area of effect seems to shrink while kept in a high vacuum environment and the severity of the effect is much weaker, but the cumulative effects add up over time.10
Origin: SCP-X was found in a mine near ███ ████, Chile in ██/██/20██ by a group of miners. After ██ were killed, the mine was shut down and the indecent was reported, which brought it to the Foundation's attention. █ agents died from touching the artifact during retrieval.
Addendum-X-a: All testing of SCP-X will cease immediately, due to the █ accidents that have caused the death/termination of ██ researchers and various other personnel. - O5-██ 8/7/20██
Addendum-X-b: Analysis of the ashes left by subjects has found that the chemical composition of the remains do not correspond to burned organic material. Instead, the ashes appear to be mainly silica, iron and magnesium oxides, along with traces of potassium. This material is comparable to ultramafic rock found in the Earth's mantle or around areas that have experienced volcanic activity, i.e. basalt.
Addendum-X-c: Due to the breaching of the vacuum chamber on 5/4/20██ by a mentally affected researcher, the artifact will be guarded at all times by two security officers, equipped with noise-silencing earphones.
Addendum-X-d: Due to the breaching of the vacuum chamber on 10/25/20██ by a mentally affected guard, SCP-X will be guarded by automated sentry guns.

Origin: SCP-WWWW was acquired through the black market after it came to the Foundation's attention that it was an artifact that used to be in the possession of the GRU Division "P". After standard testing was performed, see Addendum-W-a, the Foundation reached out to its contacts in the Russian government for any information about SCP-WWWW. The Russian Federal Space Agency responded and sent the documentation it had on the artifact and its inferior duplicates to the Foundation.
Originally designed and manufactured in 1984, SCP-W was ostensibly built for blinding American optical sensors. The project was abandoned due to the inefficiency of the lasing medium the Soviets had access to at teh time
