SCP-??? Is to be monitored 24/7 by staff with level 3 clearance. Multiple cameras have been set up to take pictures of different perspectives on SCP-????. The woodlands surrounding SCP-???? Is to be declared private property. If anyone is spotted vandalizing SCP-???? two security guards will be dispatched into the area.
Description: SCP-???? is a large statue resembling the SEGA mascot Sonic The Hedgehog. Further inspections of the statue reveal that no sort of SEGA licensing is on SCP-????. SCP-???? seems to be in bad shape as worn paint and a crack on the right arm of the statue can be seen.
SCP-???? is located in the [DATA EXPUNGED] Prefecture of Japan.The nearest village to SCP-????, [DATA EXPUNGED], claims that the statue is owned by a small teahouse on the border of the town. Further research by the security team have not been successful with finding said teahouse. Any attempts at moving SCP-???? Triggers uproar in the village. No reasoning for this event has been theorized.
SCP-???? is claimed to have existed before the village as old paintings of the mountainous region of [DATA EXPUNGED] depict SCP-????. SCP-???? is depicted in literature aswell. A book titled [DATA EXPUNGED] explains how the Japanese army used SCP-???? as a marker for military bases: "My battalion and I, exhausted from the treacherous walk through the mountains, found our last clue to our destination. A large statue of a blue cartoon animal pointed us in the directon of ■■■■-■■■". (Page: ■■■) (Section: ■■).
SCP-???? is also claimed to manipulate the depictions of itself in video. In 1994, a news brodcast located SCP-???? and decided to film it. During an average viewing of the brodcast, no trace of SCP-???? is seen. Only a blue blur, which can be mistaken for a smudge, resides in SCP-????'s place. SCP-???? is theorized to camouflage very fast between each frame of video, and thus only appearing to be a blue light in video footage.
No tests on SCP-???? can be preformed or documented by the foundation as of writing this document. The foundation will continue to monitor SCP-????
This is the only public image of SCP-????. The Foundation have requested the removal of the image from the public view.
