Special Containment Procedures: At least two instances of SCP-XXXX-A are uncontained and their location is unknown. Should any of these instances be located, they are to be incapacitated and brought to Area-XXXX for containment. Failing this, the SCP-XXXX-A instances should be met with armed force and terminated, if possible.
Area-XXXX has been built around SCP-XXXX for the purpose of housing researchers and security personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX. Area-XXXX includes a concrete enclosure built around SCP-XXXX, with a 10m radius between the enclosure and the edge of SCP-XXXX and a thin layer of iron plate covering the inside wall of the enclosure. Surveillance cameras equipped with infrared vision are placed atop the enclosure wall.
No less than eight armed guards are to be stationed at the entrance into SCP-XXXX's enclosure at all times, and two teams of four armed guards are to patrol around SCP-XXXX's enclosure regularly. Guards stationed at SCP-XXXX's enclosure should ignore any and all strange noises coming from within the enclosure, and are strictly prohibited from responding to or following the commands of voices coming from within the enclosure.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a roughly circular forest clearing 30m in diameter located in ████████ National Forest in ████████, Alabama, in an otherwise nondescript camping grounds.
SCP-XXXX appears to be the entryway into an extradimensional location (hereby SCP-XXXX-1). Any animals that are present in SCP-XXXX, along with any items they are carrying or wearing on their person, when the sun rises, will disappear instantaneuously and be transported to SCP-XXXX-1.
SCP-XXXX-A is the designation for a group of at least 15 entities (SCP-XXXX-A -1 through -15) that have appeared within SCP-XXXX's area. These entities all vaguely resemble normal male elk (Cervus canadensis), but each one has one or more features that is atypical of non-anomalous elk. Instances of SCP-XXXX-A are reportedly more resilient to trauma and more agile than typical elk, but can still be terminated through the use of normal firearms, albeit with greater difficulty. SCP-XXXX-A instances do not appear to require sustenance or sleep, and are active at all times of the day.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-A actively seek humans as prey. Each instance of SCP-XXXX-A appears to have a preferential affinity for a specific human body part and will "collect"1 this body part at every opportunity, leaving the rest of the body for any other predator or other instances of SCP-XXXX-A. Although the apparent purpose of attacks made by SCP-XXXX-A instances does not appear to be to kill prey, attacked prey often terminate as a result of shock or blood loss after having body parts removed. The purpose of the collection of body parts is unknown, although instances have been observed attempting to return to SCP-XXXX-1 after collecting what it deems to be a suitable amount of its preferred members.
