- 1 collapsible sign indicating a severe infestation of a poisonous plant species native to (redacted)

Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, the entity can be allowed to roam freely around the (redacted) region of (redacted)(redacted). The entity can be herded and discouraged from areas with the beam of a flashlight. CT-TXXXX will keep the entity a minimum of 40 km from villages and major roads in the area. The entity does not move during the day and operatives are encouraged to leave it unattended during daylight hours marked with tracking beacons and warning signs (see operative apparatus above). This practice has proven to have a positive impact on native flora and fauna within an area around SCP-XXXX approx. 200 m in diameter. ]
Description: [ SCP-XXXX is a reptilian quadruped standing 2.72 m at the tallest fixed point. The entity is enclosed in a domed shell 2.72 m long 1.36 m tall of unknown composition. Into which it can retract its head and thick legs. head is 0.66 m long. Neck can extend up to 2.13 m.
Generally, turtles move faster than tortoises, even on land. Tortoises of the genus Gopherus have been clocked at rates 0.13 to 0.30 mph (0.05 to 0.13 m/s).

Let’s get technical for a minute. Color, as we humans know it, is the result of the way light is reflected off of an object and into our eyes. Different light frequencies translate into different colors. Vantablack isn't a color, but a material. It’s made of a “forest” of tiny, hollow carbon tubes, each the width of a single atom. According to the Surrey NanoSystems website, “a surface area of [1 centimeter squared] would contain around 1000 million nanotubes.” When light hits the tubes, it’s absorbed and cannot escape—which means that actually, Vantablack is the absence of color.]
