Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 meter cube of translucent green hardened plastic. Every 75 days a mass of meat weighing 10 kilograms is to be deposited into the SCP by a personnel wearing full protective gear including green-tinted goggles . If SCP-XXXX begins to move around at any point the lead staff member must contact a level 3 personnel for instruction.

Description:SCP-XXXX is a hovering red sphere with a .5 m diameter. Its surface is smooth and reflective, similar to that of polished stone or wood, but testing has found that it is made up of an unknown material dating over 700 years old. This orb was found in █████████, Mexico, inside the center room of a large temple. Due to the inscriptions of the room it was located in, it is assumed that SCP-XXXX was either created or found by early american natives and used in religious practices, especially those of sacrifice

SCP-XXXX hovers roughly one (1) meter off the ground, and when seen with the naked eye causes a substantial increase in noradrenaline, adrenaline, and other hormones related to anger. This causes victims to go into an uncontrollable rage towards the SCP, often resulting in the victim striking it with whatever is in their reach. If the victim should come contact SCP-XXXX with bare skin, the SCP becomes semi-solid and begins to envelop the victim, until they have been completely swallowed and the SCP returns to its previous shape and rigidity.

Though SCP-XXXX appears to be lacking organs and consciousness, researchers have hypothesized that it may have a sentience. If the SCP hasn’t been “fed” in 150-200 days, it begins to gravitate towards any staff that walk by its containment, eventually even beginning to █████████████████████████████████

███████████████, which is why SCP-XXXX must be “fed” routinely.

After further research, it is found that the hormonal release only occurs when personnel make direct eye contact with SCP-XXXX, and that any visual barriers, especially those that alter the visible color of the SCP, prevent the hormone release and allow for observation.
