Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5240 should be contained in an 8*8*12 foot room. The steel walls of this area should be colored a light green color, precisely:#1aff1a. If conditions are not met, SCP-5240 has the ability to teleport anywhere in a 100-mile radius, through any material.
Every two months, there must be a paint replacement in the containment area in order to keep the wall color the same. When anyone enters the containment area, they must be dressed in a #1aff1a colored hazmat suit with an MX-D-5 compressor module attached. If this is not the case, SCP-5240 may teleport inside the person, overriding their bodily functions and having complete control of them. The personnel must also wear a high-quality sound canceller, due to the Intense waves of high frequency sounds it emits at certain periods of time.
SCP-5240 is to be fed two times a week at noon. Its diet consists of dead chicken or other related animals. It needs no water. There is a reinforced steel door with a double lock system. The area should be patrolled by two or more readily armed agents.
Description: SCP-5240 takes the shape of a 7 foot tall humanoid with a tall head and no facial features. Its shadowy appearance flickers and flashes constantly. It has short arms, but it's fingerlike growths from the end of its forearm measure 2 feet in length. SCP-5240 uses these to rip and tear at its prey. This SCP can voluntarily choose when it wants to make contact with a living being. If any creature approaches it in an aggressive manner, it will attack. If a creature approaches it without alarming SCP-5240, they will be able to pass through it. Though this action may cause mild headaches and sometimes nausea, this is mostly harmless.
SCP-5240, in containment, will usually roam the area and stay near the walls. It will sometimes float seamlessly into the air but will retort quickly to its last position.
Addendum 1: SCP-5240 was discovered in the operation ██-██ on SCP-5747. The operation members patroled the first area with Dr. ████████, noting black visions on the border of the area. They investigated and discovered the SCP hiding in a blue mist. It jumped out and started slashing at one of the soldiers. He was quickly killed. The others quickly responded and neutralized it with a special matter container. This is now proven to be less effective and should not be used.
The creature was brought to Site-06-3 for inspection. In the state of shock SCP-5240 was in, Dr. ████ and Dr. ██████ were able to interrogate it.

Foreword: The Interview was held in SCP-5240's containment room. It was in shock, making some responses questionable. The SCP was asked a number of questions, mainly about SCP-5747.

Dr. ██████: Are there more of you? Who is us?
SCP-5240: Yes. Lots more. Like me, and not. Gillum. You will too. How is it here? I remember the air.
Dr. ██████: Have you been here before? How do you know what this place is? Do you mean the room, or this planet, Earth?
SCP-5240: Yes. Earth. Long time. *Loud Screech*
Dr. ████: [To Security Member] I think the shock might be over. We should end this interview. Joll, do you have the containment process ready?
Joll: Yes sir, Dr.
SCP-5240: Contain. Back to the *Loud Screech*. Where?

Closing Statement: SCP-5240 was locked in and the shock ended minutes after the Doctors left. Realizing that they had used it to win info, SCP-5240 was very agitated afterward. It would scratch at the paint and glitch out more than usual. This phase ended four days later.
