Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: The waters in a 1 kilometer radius around SCP-XXXX are to be patrolled by Foundation personnel. SCP-XXXX has been purchased and is currently posessed by a Foundation cover organization. It is to be operated remotely and active when not in use for the purpose of testing.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a lighthouse and dock located on ███████ off the coast of Scotland. Those working at the lighthouse report heavy wind and rain often incongruent with the observed weather in the region. This weather is not observed before stepping foot on the island, but its effects (namely water on the bodies of those on the island) will be observed on things which leave the island. Subjects have invariably become increasingly distressed during the duration of their stay on ███████, though it is presently unclear whether this is an anomalous effect of SCP-XXXX or a natural result of isolation and confinement to a small area.
At intervals of between █ and ██ months, the weather observed at SCP-XXXX ceases and a gateway is formed between the door of the lighthouse and an unknown location. Individuals inside the lighthouse will be compelled to leave, violently resisting any force attempting to prevent them from doing so. Upon passing through the door of the lighthouse, subjects disappear. Following the subject’s disappearance or a period of at least ██ days, the gateway demanifests and SCP-XXXX returns to its normal activity. As of 20██, no subjects entering the gateway have been recovered. Electrical equipment sent into the gateway will result in demanifestation, but will operate as normal.
Both the dock and the lighthouse were built in 16██ in a manner consistent with the period. SCP-XXXX came to the Foundation’s attention in 19██ after the disappearance of three keepers for which no cause was found. A diary by ████ █████████ was found detailing the events leading up to the disappearance, depicting harsh weather, severely deteriorated mental health, and a significant air of fear. The final entry states "The storm is over. God has provided us a place of relief from His wrath." See Document-XXXX-1 for more information.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX-1 During testing of the door on 17/3/19██ one male individual (hereafter referred to as subject) exited SCP-XXXX. The subject appeared bewildered, and repeatedly asked questions of on-site personnel in a language later identified as Gaelic before being contained. After being put on the SCPS Mannan, the subject rapidly expired.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX-2 Recordings of the individual who had exited SCP-XXXX were sent to Dr. █████ in the Linguistics Department and translated as follows:
- Cé a bhfuil tusa? (Who are you?)
- Cá bhfuil mo bád? (Where is my boat?)
- Cá bhfuil mo bean chéile? (Where is my wife?)
Dr. █████ proposed that the subject was a former owner of the lighthouse, Oisín ████████, who is recorded to have disappeared in 16██. In order to determine the likelihood of the necessary temporal anomaly within or around SCP-XXXX, an exploration of the gateway was requested.
Exploration request granted 5/4/19██.
D-10972 (Female, 27, Anglo-Irish descent) is sent inside SCP-XXXX before the manifestation of the gateway. Subject reports extreme concern regarding the shift in weather upon reaching the island.
Subject stays at SCP-XXXX as directed for 3 days. On the third day, the weather shifts and becomes sunny with minimal cloud cover, consistent with the surrounding weather. Subject notices and immediately requests permission to exit SCP-XXXX, stating “He wants me to come.” Unresponsive to questioning from Command, subject proceeds through the gateway with provided equipment, after which the gateway closes and the weather anomaly returns.
Backpack-mounted camera shows a heavily forested landscape consistent with the Southern United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. A path is seen in front of the subject and flowing water is heard to the subject’s left. Command directs the subject to attempt to return to SCP-XXXX, but the subject remains unresponsive. After brief discussion, it is recorded that data may only be received through the closed gateway and not sent.
Subject starts down the path, which audio suggests follows the flowing water. The path is followed for approximately 17 minutes, during which no signs of animal activity are recorded. At this point the subject stops and turns to face an unidentified structure across a small river. Subject shouts in a tone suggesting joy and removes backpack before running in the direction of the structure. Camera is damaged during the fall and ceases to transmit video.
Following the loss of D-10972, an unmanned exploration was approved for the purpose of recovering all materials lost within SCP-XXXX and investigating the nature of the structure. In order to compensate for the inability to communicate with a drone through the gateway, the drone was preprogrammed with commands to follow the path of D-10972, move towards the structure, then retrieve lost equipment and return to the place of entry.
Upon manifestation of the gateway, the drone is sent through from the outside of SCP-XXXX. Location of arrival appears to be the same as that of first exploration, and Command confirms that orders may no longer be given to drone upon closing of the gate. Drone proceeds along the assigned path, noting no change in the apparent landscape from the previous exploration.
Drone arrives at the location of dropped equipment and confirms its presence before turning left and heading towards the structure. The structure is largely constructed of stone, and sounds of music and celebration can be heard from inside. While the drone cannot be directed to enter the structure, it is assumed that D-10972 had done so and most likely still remains within.
Drone completes its observation of the structure and returns to the dropped equipment. Equipment is acquired and drone proceeds to point of entry. Reception from drone is lost, and drone does not appear in SCP-XXXX until 10 days after loss of reception.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX-3 Transportation from the interior of the gateway to SCP-XXXX appears possible after the exterior gateway has closed. Inability to retrieve D-10972 is likely due to a lack of will to return rather than a lack of ability to do so. Temporal anomaly is proposed to be roughly 10x time dilation, consistent with results of Exploration XXXX-2.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained within the fascade of a house of the model that would be found on ████ St. Due to its standard nature, SCP-XXXX has been approved for residence of Foundation personnel for a period of no more than one year, beginning on March 14.
Approval may be sought for non-personnel visits to SCP-XXXX. Visitors must:
- Not have visited SCP-XXXX prior to the most recent rotation
- Not be prone to anger or violent outbursts
- Not have attained a degree in any field of engineering or architecture.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a single story house located on ████████ ███ in ████, CO. It appears to be of the same model as the adjacent buildings, but no records of construction have been found.
At 0315 on 14 March, SCP-XXXX will rotate approximately 3 degrees clockwise. Simultaneously, all non-living objects in SCP-XXXX will rotate approximately 3 degrees counterclockwise. This change is noted to cause significant irritation and stress in personnel who have entered SCP-XXXX prior to a rotation, and has resulted in violence (see Incident-XXXX-1 and -2).
SCP-XXXX was secured by the Foundation on ██/██/████ following a call to local police stating that "The goddamn house is moving". The Foundation moved to secure the structure for observation, and following Incident-XXXX-1 designated it an SCP object.
Following the first recorded rotation of SCP-XXXX the neighbor who placed the call to ████ police alerted the owner of SCP-XXXX to the movement of the house. The owner, ████ ███, repeatedly denied any changes to the house or its contents. Following a brief altercation, ████ ███ proceed to become physical with the neighbor, and was arrested by police arriving at the scene. Following this event the Foundation was easily able to secure the structure.
Dr. Welsh, a Foundation researcher, was stationed at Site-██ from ██/██/████ to ██/██/████. Noted to have significant resistance to memetic hazards due to previous work with the Foundation, she agreed to a request by Researcher █████ to have an extended residence in SCP-XXXX in order to test the nature of its anomaly. As such, Dr. Welsh’s residence in SCP-XXXX occured from 15/3/2012 until 27/6/2013.
Dr. Welsh did not exhibit immediate aggression following the rotation event on 14/3/2013. Following a psychological evaluation she was returned to Foundation service. During this time she continued residence within SCP-XXXX.
At 1600 on 27/6/2013, Dr. Welsh assaulted a janitor at Site-██ before entering a fetal position and being detained by security. Dr. Welsh was placed on extended psychological leave and her residence in SCP-XXXX was immediately terminated. The janitor was admitted to the on-site infirmary and released the same day. Further disciplinary action against Dr. Welsh and Researcher █████ was considered but eventually decided against as all protocol had been sufficiently followed to assume that Dr. Welsh was of stable mental health.
Researcher █████‘s experiment was deemed significant, having determined that SCP-XXXX is not memetic in nature. Evidence appears to point to the mental effects of SCP-XXXX being non-anomalous, with it being suggested that the rotation events trigger a sense of discomfort in subjects that escalates with further exposure to “incorrect”, rotated items.
Following the incident and investigation Researcher █████ proposed further research to determine the relation between the extended period of time before manifestation of significant mental issues and the mental fortitude of an individual subject. This proposal was rejected, and testing was suspended on SCP-XXXX.
Dr. ████ Travis was assigned residence in SCP-XXXX from 15/3/2015 until 13/3/2016, having previously visited SCP-XXXX in 2007. He had however suffered from localized memory loss following breach of containment of SCP-████ and as such was deemed fit for residence.
At approximately 1400 on 3/4/2015 one humanoid entity emerged from the front door of SCP-XXXX, finding itself between the facade and SCP-XXXX itself. Surveillance footage was unable to record most of the event, but Dr. Travis located the entity and engaged it in conversation. Although an exact transcript is unavailable due to the lack of recording devices, Dr. Travis was able to recall the majority of the conversation.
The entity was reported as in a state of extreme confusion and attempted repeatedly to reenter SCP-XXXX, though it was responsive to questioning. It identified itself upon request as Chief Engineer Sfiry Rex of [REDACTED]. It had exited SCP-XXXX in order to “check up on the clock”, and determined that there had recently been a “misfire”. Further questioning by Dr. Travis was unproductive, and the entity was allowed to return to SCP-XXXX. Upon passing through the doorway, it disappeared.
No such entity was found in the following investigation, though the foundation of SCP-XXXX was observed to have rotated independently of the structure. It returned to its original position on 6/4/2015. Dr. Travis was placed on temporary psychological leave and returned to Foundation service on 1/5/2015.

Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is generally located in a standard humanoid containment chamber, and is easy to contain due to its inherently cooperative nature. At present there is no way to prevent SCP-XXXX from leaving its cell when a nearby individual engages in a task. When SCP-XXXX manifests, employees are instructed to politely decline offers of assistance and request that it returns to its containment chamber. SCP-XXXX is likely to comply, though if it does not then the task in question need be temporarily abandoned in order to incite demanifestation.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a male of Eastern European descent claiming to be from Detroit, Michigan. When an individual is engaging in a task which can be done to varying degrees of success or quality, SCP-XXXX will be observed to disappear from its containment chamber. Immediately following this SCP-XXXX will manifest in the area of the subject and introduce itself as “your critic”. SCP-XXXX will attempt to critique the subject’s preformance and offer advice on “improving” the quality of the work.
