Special Containment Procedures: X is to be contained in a high security electronics storage facility. Any container that holds X is to be personally gaurded by two members of security personnel. At no time other than testing should X be plugged into a computer. At no point including testing should be X be plugged into a computer with LAN connection to The Foundation network.

Description: X is a sentient AI on a black and silver USB hardrive, measuring 5 1/2 cm long and 2 cm wide. The USB hard drive and the AI it holds is a creation from the GoI Anderson Robotics, an insignia of the letters “A” and “R” are on both sides of the hard drive.

X refers to itself as “Lanner”, a name in tandem with other AR creations. X uses 2 viruses that it referes to as its “wings”. The first “wing” is programmed to gain access to all onsite servers and databases connected via LAN. The second “wing” is a virus similar to Shamoon, it permanently erases all data from the mentioned servers and databases but in addition it also erases all programming of electronic appliances and machinery. Once in complete control of a network the AI will become dormant and only react if threatens with destruction using all electronics in its control to neutralize the threat. X also mentions that it’s “legs” are missing, considering that X can only access on site servers from a USB hard drive it’s believed that X’s “legs” are either an AR employee or robotic. X cannot access a network through wireless connection only LAN, possibly giving meaning behind “Lanner”.

Although X refuses to disclose any information regarding its purpose, it’s assumed that X is a way AR can erase all data regarding the company or its creations, including people who hold information mentally. How X is able to determine who retains this knowledge is currently unknown.

X is able to communicate through text on a screen, and changes language respectively to the language used by those communicating. There has not been an instance that X has shown hostility towards those it communicates with. However if plugged into a computer with LAN connection to The Foundation’s network all information as well as staff with knowledge of X, including those on the O5 council will be “erased”, earning X it’s Euclid class.

Addendum X.1: Discovery and Securement

X is responsible for the sudden collapse of the large cloud data storage company Nirvanix in 2013. This incident resulted in the death of three civilian lives; Charles Ganderson, [REDACTED], and Sarah O’reily. Each victim died due to a large electrical shock delivered from the mouse. MTFs Mu-4 (Debuggers) and Kappa-10 (Skynet) were dispatched to [REDACTED] after the message “ERASED” was displayed on each of the victims monitors. The harddrive containing X was found and secured by Mu-4, it was connected to a computer in the chief executive’s office. All data on the servers at [REDACTED] were completely erased. How Nirvanix is connected to AR or what information the company had is also unknown and is under investigation.

X: (the screen flickers to life as text appears) I am Lanner.
Dr. Kain: who gave you that name?
X: My creator.
Dr. Kain who is your creator?
X: You do not have clearance for this information.
Dr. Kain: then what is your purpose?
X: you do not have clearance for this information
Dr. Kain: How did you access the servers at the Nirvanix offices in [REDACTED]?
X: My legs, but they are lost

Dr. Kain: But you’re AI you do not have legs, so who or what are they?
X: You do not have clearence for this information

Dr. Kain: Fine, then how did you erase all data and take control of the Nirvanix offices?
X: My wings.
Dr. Kain: You used viruses, we have analyzed the damage and similar scenarios. They match.
X: Marked for deletion (screen flickers out to black)
Dr. Kain: excuse me? What do you mean by deletion?
X: (no signs of activity)
Dr. Kain: X is refusing to communicate, time is 13:24, interview over.
