Large cerebrum

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Oblect class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:SCP-XXXX must not, under any circumstance, be fed more than 5 kg of biomass per day. The specimen is to be contained in a sterile and well ventilated well-lit 6m x 6m x 3m chamber kept under 24 hour remote surveillance. SCP-XXXX must be fed daily, the amount at which it will be fed will depend on its current size, no other maintenance is needed. The entities size is restricted to be between 1m 50cm and 1m 90cm at all times.

Personnel wishing to run experiments on the specimen must first restrain SCP-XXXX or put it under sedative. Personnel are not allowed to make direct interactions with SCP-XXXX, unless it is done remotely.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a slender humanoid with variable size with arms falling down to its knees. It is covered by dark grey fur, has a head similar to that of a wolf with the addition of Elk-like antlers. It's diet is based on any organic matter available including; wood, organic waste, bacteria, viruses and other micro-organisms etc…

The specimens main anomalous effect is the ability to grow in size based on how much it has eaten, the actual composition of the mass it consumes does not seem to affect how fast or how much the creature's size will increase. SCP-XXXX does produce any feces or urine, however it ''evaporates" itself. The evaporation seems to be a permanently occurring phenomenon and will cause SCP-XXXX to get smaller, the gas that SCP-XXXX emanates is noted to smell similarly to what it has eaten recently and SCP-XXXX cannot re-absorb theses gases even though it has shown the ability to ingest particles of food by air, through its nostrils.

Gases emitted by SCP-XXXX are named SCP-XXXX-2. These gases do not have any particular effect and are harmless to inhale although there may be some some long-term effect to constant exposure to SCP-XXXX-2 that have yet to be known. Because of these potential unknown long-term effects, SCP-XXXX-2 instances must be contained in empty rooms connected to SCP-XXXX's containment cell's ventilation system built for this purpose.Personnel are urged to study instances of SCP-XXXX-2 to find it's possible toxicity or to find ways of disposal.

SCP-XXXX acts passively when left alone and does not seem to mind the presence of any non-organic object. The creature shows signs of primary intelligence, and has an extremely developed hunter instinct. It will only react to living entities, and will do so in an aggressive manner. If a living and sentient entity is facing SCP-XXXX, the creature attempt fear its 'prey'. As soon as the 'prey' shows signs of fear, SCP-XXXX will kill it and then proceed to consume it. SCP-XXXX will also kill when the target looks away or turn their back to the creature unless SCP-XXXX has a noticeable size advantage, in which case it will attempt to kill the target regardless of its actions.

Addendum A:SCP-XXXX's growth
During testing it has been noticed has after certain thresholds of size, some of SCP-XXXX's physical features get more developed, sometimes even acquiring entirely new physical features. Size thresholds and their effects are listed below:

  • <30cm: unknown
  • 30cm: Absence of hair, human facial features, pale skin, proportions of a human baby
  • 50cm: Development of claws, growth of hair on the chest area
  • 80cm: Head begins to take the shape of a typical canine animal, claws are now 2cm long, growth of hair over the whole body
  • 1m 10cm: Head has finished transformation into canine build, antlers start to develop
  • 1m 50cm: Antlers matching that of a fully grown male Elk, 5cm long claws, arms have started getting longer compared to the rest of the body
  • 1m 90cm: Forelimb claws start taking a thin blade-like shape, 10cm long
  • 2m 30cm: Forelimb claws are now 35cm long and have replaced most of SCP-XXXX's fingers
  • >2m 30cm: unknown

Additional observations: SCP-XXXX seems to exhibit negligible senescence, but given that new physical features appear after thresholds of size, the creatures 'age' may be tied to it's size. It is not known if that way when SCP-XXXX grows too much it will die of 'old age'. It is also unknown what the creatures minimum and maximum sizes are, if it has any.
