Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained under a tempered glass dome of 20 Cm in diameter and 35 Cm in height, the dome needs to have a thickness of 2 Cm ( the dome has to be replaced every time a containment breach occurs ).
SCP-XXXX and the dome containing it are to be placed onto a pedestal at the centre of a 5 Meter square room with reinforced concrete walls, floor and ceiling; on the southern wall of the containment chamber is to be installed a hydraulic titanium door ( metals of alcaline nature have proved to be the best countermeasure to slow a containment breach ).
Description: SCP-XXXX is a crystal formation in the shape of a tuning fork, numerous research have been performed on samples recovered from SCP-XXXX,to determine what materials it is made out of.
Results include:
- Pyrite
- Aragonite
- Various Quartz
- Onyx
- Agate
- Aquamarine
The composition of SCP-XXXX seems to change every time an SCP-XXXX-A terminates, sample extraction are scheduled every time an SCP-XXXX-A terminates.
The crystal formation is installed on a wooden base of varnished mahogany to which is attached a brass plate with the inscription To Beatrix. From the moment SCP-XXXX has been placed into containment, it has started resonating on various frequencies varying from 20 to 48 Hz, what seems to be a lullaby not yet identified, from time to time it has been noticed that part of the lullaby seem to be sung by a choir of female voices.
Class D-personnel exposed to SCP-XXXX experience different effect based on gender:
- Male Class D-personnel find the sounds emitted by SCP-XXXX to be deafening and unbearable to listen.
- Female Class D- personnel enjoy being in presence of SCP-XXXX and find the sounds emitted to be soothing and calming.
During the containment of SCP-XXXX, various Class D-personnel have been coerced into touching the crystal formation. After direct contact was interrupted, minimal mineral growth was observed on the contact area of Class D-personnel's skin, this growth can be removed with plastic surgery with no side effect until an SCP-XXXX-02 occurs.
Addendum XXXX-01: After a 60 day period of continued hearing, Female Class D personnel will be drawn towards SCP-XXXX and will attempt to make contact ( class E amnestics can be used to extend the duration of subject hearing the fork ), after the Class D-personnel makes contact with SCP-XXXX, it will begin hearing a low pitched drone while becoming increasingly mute.
After 27 minutes and 31 seconds exactly, the subject will die of suffocation caused by vitrification of vocal cord and larynx; after this event took place, Class D-personnel have described that they could hear the deceased's voice within SCP-XXXX choir.
Class D-personnel that can't make contact with the fork will become irreversibly deaf and will usually die in 5 to 7 years of diseases attacking the hearing and vocal apparatus.
Addendum XXXX-02:It has been observed that subject in constant hearing range of SCP-XXXX will want to hum the lullaby, when male subjects hum the song, no side effect have been noticed;
when female subjects hum the song within a 7 meter range of SCP-XXXX, it will stops resonating for as long as the lullaby is hummed.
After SCP-XXXX stops resonating, every person who made contact with SCP-XXXX during the last 3 years will experiences rapid growth of various minerals over their entire body effectively turning the subject into a mineral structure.
When SCP-XXXX begins resonating again, every subject turned into a mineral structure will revert to its original state with no apparent side effect apart from an Incomprehensive time jump.
Addendum XXXX-A:If no contact has been made with SCP-XXXX for more that 13 moths, it will being to generate a trail comprised of various minerals at a rate of 21,5 Cm per hour toward the nearest female human in its vicinity, any material positioned between SCP-XXXX and it's target will be covered and converted into mineral structures.
Various barrier of different materials have been tested to find the material with the slowest rate of conversion finding that, in increasing strength to the conversion: Reinforced concrete, tempered glass and titanium are the most effective material to slow SCP-XXXX containment breach.
To this day, no method of complete containment for this breach has yet been found and slowing the trail will end in the breach becoming more and more aggressive the longer it is slowed.
After SCP-XXXX mineral trail has made successful contact with a human female, subject will experience the same death parameters as listed in Addendum XXXX-01 , containment breach will stop and the trail will dissolve on its own in exactly 1 month.
Every attempt made by the foundation to end the breach with other female life form will be met with the total crystallization of the subject that makes contact with the trail.
