Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in a large item container and placed in Storage Unit 1 at Site 28. SCP-XXXX testing areas are to be available at all times. SCP-XXXX testing areas utilize the standard dimensions for a testing area, with the exclusion of the height of the ceiling being 130m. A mandatory 2 cognito hazard resistant personnel is to assist in transporting SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a painting, depicting the entirety of a modern era building with 40 floors and 400 windows, with a night sky depicted in the background. If the entirety of the building depicted in SCP-XXXX is viewed by an individual for more than 3 seconds, the painted bottom right window of the building will emanate a yellow light. When the individual exits a 1.5 meter radius of SCP-XXXX, they will be propelled upward approximately 123 meters. Once the subject has reached max elevation, all propulsion will stop, leading to the individual’s descent. If the individual is impeded during the propulsion stage, the individual will continue to be pushed upwards until the individual’s death or the impediment is removed. The individual’s descent appears to have no other anomalous effects, therefore the descent can be avoided. Upon the individual’s death, the light that had activated upon their viewing of SCP-XXXX will deactivate. SCP-XXXX’s effects do not occur when viewing SCP-XXXX through mirrors or photographs.

SCP-XXXX was discovered on 2/16/2018 when an Art exhibit in Italy found that SCP-XXXX had spontaneously appeared in the center of one of their exhibits. 2 of the staff located at the exhibit were killed in the first 3 hours of SCP-XXXX’s first appearance. A third staff member located one of the bodies and immediately contacted local police. When police arrived, a total of 4 officers were afflicted by the anomaly, after which the Foundation was contacted. MTF Eta-10 was sent in, to contain and protect others from, the anomaly.
