Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in the cafeteria, with barricades surrounding it and a guard of security clearance level 2 at all times.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a normal table, with an ‘All you can eat!’ sign placed on it. However, upon sitting at the table, the subject is unable to leave until they have consumed all the food on the menu.
Once the subject has sat down, a pen and a menu will appear in front of them, and the subject is required to cross a food off the menu to ‘order’ it. Once food has been ‘ordered’, the food will appear on the table through unknown means. A different menu will appear for each subject, based on their taste in food.
SCP-XXXX poses no major threat, but a subject must eat all the food on the menu to leave the table, so a guard is to be posted by the table to ensure anyone attempting to sit at the table is aware of what they are about to undertake.
Addendum [SCP-XXXXa]: After Incident A, SCP-XXXX was moved to the foundation cafeteria through the suggestion of Dr. Vance.
Incident A – 20/7/18
Subject: Fredrick Bain, M, 36
Procedure: Subject sat at the table prior to SCP-XXXX’s containment
Results: Subject was shocked as to how the food appeared, but proceeded to eat. After eating one meal, subject attempted to leave. After discovering he couldn’t leave, the subject ordered more food, eating through the menu over a week.
Analysis: Subject failed to adapt to the situation well, freaking out and ordering food to survive. It took a full week to eat the menu, due to the subject not knowing why they couldn’t leave, just eating when they got hungry.
Incident B – 5/11/18
Subject: Nate Roach, M, 28
Procedure: Subject was dared to sit at the table after containment and storage in the foundation cafeteria
Results: Subject ate through the entire menu in a day and 14 hours.
Analysis: Due to knowledge as to how to escape, subject ate through the menu as fast as they could, only stopping to rest and let food digest.
