Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5992 is contained in site-19 and must not be touched by any personnel under any circumstances. If any person/persons do touch SCP-5992, a site-wide level 4 lockdown must be initiated (see addendum).
Description:
SCP-5992 appears a small, brown, clay pot, 10cm (centimeters) in diameter. The area inside SCP-5992 is full of soil at all times and if any items are placed inside SCP-5992 they will turn to ash and disappear. If SCP-5992 is touched by flesh on any area, a large green plant, known as SCP-5992-1 will grow from the soil in SCP-5992 and devour all those within the range of 5m (meters). After multiple different tests (see addendum), it has been discovered that the only way to pacify SCP-5992-1 and cause it to shrivel back into the soil of SCP-5992 is to splash it with 4 kilos of water infused with lemon.
Discovery:
SCP-5992 was discovered in Natick, Massachusets on 10/21/2018, after several missing persons cases lead to the discovery of the pot, whereon a Foundation extraction team was called in to remove the anomaly. In the effort to restrain SCP-5992-1, 26 men were killed. Once SCP-5992-1 was pacified it was taken to site-19, where it currently resides.
Addendum:
Test 5992-1A:
D-1412 enters SCP-5992’s chamber and is instructed to touch SCP-5992 on any location by researchers watching through a bullet-proof glass window. D-1412 touches SCP-5992 on its side and is swiftly devoured by SCP-5992-1. After digesting D-1412, SCP-5992-1 turns to face the researchers observing it, SCP-5992-1 grows several long vines, breaks the glass of the viewing room and consumes all personnel inside.
Test 5992-1B:
D-0924 enters SCP-5992’s chamber and is instructed to use the provided plastic watering can containing half (½) of a kilogram of water, and to water SCP-5992 by researches observing through video. D-0924 picks up the watering can and begins pouring water into the soil of SCP-5992, which summons SCP-5992-1, who promptly consumes D-0924, and proceeds to sprout four (4) vines out of the bottom of SCP-5992 and as well as two (2) more above SCP-5992. SCP-5992-1 smashes chamber door and a site-wide level 3 containment-breach is initiated.
