SCP-9574-EX The Kiwi

[Item #: SCP-9574-EX]

Object Class: Safe.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-9574-EX is to be contained in a cell designed like a play room for toddlers. Cameras, microphones, and other surveillance equipment are needed for moderating. Any on-site personnel exhibiting unusually positive behavior or signs of sudden, unexplained joy are to be screened immediately as this seems to be an effect from coming into contact with it. Viewing of SCP-9574-EX is authorized by any Level personnel.

Note: Personnel discovered it likes sweets and juice through a series of child-like drawings it did of cookies, cupcakes, and other small pastries. Each drawing also included one glass of apple juice. We decided to study the subject's behavior when these items of choice were placed in front of it. It doesn't seem to need food or liquid to live, but expresses overwhelming gratitude when receiving such items. After it is finished indulging, it will write a small "thank you" note and place it on the plate. It always signs "Kiwi" at the bottom, which is why it has the nickname Kiwi.

Description: Item SCP-9574-EX appears to be a standard plush toy, 3.5 x 4.3 x 6.3 inches, weighting in at 3.52 ounces. The subject is capable of moving by itself, and has communicated through a small assortment of gestures. SCP-9574-EX has been observed drawing with Crayons/colored pencils, wiggling to music, and occasionally floating. While observing the floating, it was recorded the highest it could go was roughly 5 feet. It seems to enjoy levitating at this height for some time before slowly falling back to the floor.
