Behavior and Background:
SCP-X has shown high intelligence and wit on several occasions, especially when attempting a containment breach or interacting with other SCP. Its physical abilities are also superb, with hand-to-hand combat skills suggesting it has several years of combat experience, and its speed and resilience are quite remarkable. It refuses to speak about its origins or any time before arriving at the Foundation.
SCP-X speaks two previously unknown languages. During its time with the Foundation, it has learned English and Arabic, with these two languages being linguistically similar to its native languages. It has been known to be sarcastic and somewhat condescending, yet charismatic, with many Foundation members claiming to enjoy its company. It is often smiling and joking around with younger members.
Physical Traits
Its body is completely indestructible. Though not a unique trait by SCP standards, it is theorized that its body is in a 'statis' state. This is further supported by its lack of aging. Scans have shown no brain activity at all, and no heart beat or pulse can be detected. SCP-X can cut off any part of its body and reattach it with ease. Its internal structure was studied this way, showing that blood flow is at a stand still, and thus SCP-X cannot bleed. It does not require air to breath or any form of sustenance, though it goes through respiratory movements out of habit, and still eats, claiming it feels hunger. It favors eating fruit, and has an obsession with lemons.
Notable containment breach attempts are logged below, with all but the first being conducted as experiments with cooperation from SCP-X.
Breach Attempt #1
Date: 10/01/1993
Log: SCP-X was placed in a typical humanoid holding cell. It broke down the door with several kicks, despite the door being made of reinforced steel.
Casualties/Damages: Humanoid Holding Cell 15's door.
Breach Attempt #7
Date: 27/10/1993
Log: SCP-X was placed in a 5 x 5 x 10 containment cell through a chute opening at the ceiling. No doors or windows were present in the cell. SCP-X was asked to attempt to breach containment. Walls were made with high strength tungsten and reinforced with steel at the corners. SCP-X was able to break through the 9 cm thick wall by clawing and biting at the wall, essentially digging its way out.
Time Required: 3 hours and 37 minutes.
Casualties/Damage: None outside of containment cell.
Breach Attempt #72
Date: 19/2/1995
Log: SCP-X was fitted with a heavy duty GPS tracker and placed in a completely closed off cage similar in construct to containment from Breach Attempt #7. This cage was submerged approximately 700 meters into the Pacific Ocean, at least 100 km from the nearest shoreline. SCP-X broke through the cage in approximately 3 hours, flooding the cage. Video feed was lost. SCP-X began ascending slowly to the surface, with little to no light available. After 70 minutes of ascending, SCP-X suddenly changed direction at high speed, and GPS tracking was lost. 5 weeks later, SCP-X was found by Agent Kurosawa at a juice bar in Japan. SCP-X told Foundation researchers it had been attacked by what it believed to be a shark which pulled it away and made it lose its tracker. It swam for 4 weeks before being found by Japanese deep sea divers, who took it back to Japan where it went around the streets yelling about the Foundation for a week until it was found by Agent Kurosawa.
Time Required: Approx. 4 weeks to reach land.
Casualties/Damages: Several residents of Japan were administered B-Class amnestetics.
Breach Attempt #117
Date: 9/5/1998
Log: [DATA EXPUNGED]
Time Required: 3 minutes and 2 seconds.
Casualties/Damages: 14 Foundation Agents KIA/MIA, 9 Foundation Researchers KIA, 10 D-Class Personnel KIA, 131 others KIA/MIA, entire right wing of Site- .
NOTICE: SCP-X containment breach experiments are no longer to be conducted with other SCPs present unless approved unanimously by O5.
Breach Attempt #118
Date: 17/6/2004
Log: SCP-X removed each one of its limbs and its head from its torso. Each appendage was chained up and placed in a separate cell made of high strength tungsten. SCP-X's head chewed its way through its chains and containment and found its way to the other cells, eventually being able to repair itself fully. This took SCP-X several months. This has been shown to be the most effective way of containing SCP-X, especially if appendages are placed in higher security containment and each one in a different site location. This is currently impractical at the moment as SCP-X is the only one capable of removing its body parts, and after said experiment has shown decreased cooperation when asked to remove any part of its body. Further containment planning is being conducted, with O5- being directly involved.
Time Required: 5 months, 4 days, 17 hours.
Casualties/Damages: One assistant researcher lost consciousness after witnessing SCP-X's severed head rolling across the floor.
It does appear to have some weaknesses that can be used to distract or impede it when need be, and these methods should be used if SCP-X is deemed a threat in any situation.
- It is susceptible to cold temperatures which slow down its movement and causes it great discomfort. SCP-X will immediately look for a heat source if it can. 20o C is the typical maximum temperature that will yield effectiveness.
- It is a mediocre swimmer. Although it can swim great distances without tiring, its movements in water are ungraceful and slow. SCP-X does not like to be in bodies of water for long periods of time.
- Lemon products also sometimes cause SCP-X to ignore any task at hand. SCP-X has admitted that it has a unhealthy obsession with lemons and becomes very agitated when it does not have at least one lemon or lemon-based food per day. Lemonade is its most common preference.
- Blunt strikes, although unable to cause any damage, seem to cause SCP-X mild levels of pain.
- It also has difficulty understanding highly scientific or technical concepts, showing its learning capability is limited.
Note: All of the above methods are only able to agitate or distract SCP-X to a degree that its movements are hindered. This is not a guaranteed method at containing SCP-X, as it has sometimes shown to be able to overcome these weaknesses when it needs to.
