Item #: SCP-XXXX
**Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard humanoid cell outfitted with six vents spread equally throughout the chamber, which can release an aerosol tranquilizer. The wall directly opposite the door is to be outfitted with arm and leg restraints. Three guards must be posted to SCP-XXXX's chamber at all times. They are to be armed with a shock baton, taser, and a firearm with non-lethal rounds. Use of deadly force on SCP-XXXX is prohibited except with express clearance from Dr. Abrams. Before entering SCP-XXXX's chamber, tranquilizer aerosol is to be administered into the chamber. After five minutes have passed, allowing the aerosol to dissipate, two guards must enter the chamber and secure SCP-XXXX to the wall while the third remains outside the door. Should SCP-XXXX escape containment, Retrieval teams in Cyprus are to be notified and deployed to The Church of Agios Lazaros.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a male human of middle eastern descent, who appears to be approximately twenty-five years of age. SCP-XXXX will reanimate precisely four days after it's death. SCP-XXXX is yet to show any sign of physical aging while in Foundation custody. A brand can be found on the subject's chest displaying the symbols צא, which can be translated from Hebrew as "come out". SCP-XXXX is highly distressed by the reanimation process and is extremely hostile to any objects or individuals around it for approximately forty-eight hours. When SCP-XXXX dies, its body is transported to a crypt underneath The Church of Agios Lazaros. The subject will be wrapped in strips of linen, which it will violently rip from its body once it has reanimated. Linguists have deduced that SCP-XXXX speaks in Ancient forms of Hebrew and Latin consistent with 26 BC. See Interview Log XXXX-1.
Interview Log XXXX-1:
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX
Interviewer: Dr. Abrams, Project Director and expert on ancient languages.
Foreword: This interview was conducted immediatly after linguists determined SCP-XXXX was speaking in ancient Hebrew. Dr. Abrams was called in and assigned to Head of Research for SCP-XXXX. The following transcript is a translation of the interview conducted by Dr. Abrams immediately upon his arrival to containment cell XXXX.
<Begin Log, 1989-02-14, 14:56>
Dr. Abrams: SCP-XXXX, Are you able to understand me?
SCP-XXXX: (Subject shows a good deal of distress) Where am I? Who are you?
Dr. Abrams: You are at the Foundation. We are keeping you here for the protection yourself and others. We have a few questions we would like to ask you.
SCP-XXXX: What would you ask of me?
Dr. Abrams: By what means are you able to revive yourself?SCP-XXXX: My Teacher told me to come out, I cannot disobey him.
Dr. Abrams: Who is this Teacher?SCP-XXXX: He is the Word made manifest. The mighty Conqueror. If you do not know Him you will still speak his name at the end of days.
Dr. Abrams: Is your reanimation process painful?SCP-XXXX: It is pure agony to be ripped from the house of my Teacher. It is pure bliss and majesty to be there, but agony to be here.
Dr. Abrams: The house of your Teacher, do you mean the crypt in the Church of Agios Lazaros?SCP-XXXX: No. My Church is not the home of my Teacher any more then the Tabernacle is.
Dr. Abrams: Do you have a name?
SCP-XXXX: Yes. I am Lazarus the Undying. Bishop of Kition. Now if we are done here I must either return to my Teacher or to my Flock.
Dr. Abrams: I'm afraid you will have to stay here.<End Log, 1989-02-14, 14:59>
Closing Statement: SCP-XXXX then proceeded to Lunge at Dr. Abram's, grabbing the pencil he was taking notes with, using it to stab itself in the trachea. Medical staff attempted to staunch the bleeding, but it was too late. Four days later, the retrieval team in Cyprus returned SCP-XXXX to Foundation custody.
Researchers believe the SCP-XXXX does not want to live. Recent interactions SCP-XXXX has requested to teach at the Church of Agios Lazaros, the request was denied.
