Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4171 should be kept in a confined space at least 2 Meters³. The creature must wear a specially-made cast iron muzzle at all times, except when eating, or speaking to others while properly restrained. If the creature is unable to be fed, extra precautions must be taken to ensure the it cannot escape. The door to its room cannot have any visible hinges from the inside, and cannot be opened or locked from the inside.

Description: SCP-4171 is a 1.5 meter tall chicken-headed man. From the neck down, the creature appears to be a 30-year-old male wearing a Victorian era/steampunk reminiscent vest, shirt, and pants. The head, however, is that of a Welsummer rooster and is proportionate with the rest of the body. The creature is surprisingly intelligent. It is able to speak seven languages, including English, Russian, and French fluently; and it has incredible problem-solving skills, being able to solve a Rubik's cube in two seconds, navigate complex mazes with ease, and complete extremely difficult engineering feats.

SCP-4171 was first discovered unintentionally terrorizing a small Russian village along with a small human-headed chicken. The two where eventually contained by the foundation, where it was discovered that SCP-4171 had incredible intelligence, while SCP-4171-1 showed no mental or emotional difference from an average chicken. SCP-4171 treats SCP-4171-1 as one would treat a dog that they've owned for a very long time. The two are rarely seen apart and spend a lot of their time together either playing or napping.

SCP-4171 despises being referred to as anything except for Kevin, especially to its face. When agents referred to the creature as SCP-4171, it gave out an ear-splitting screech and swallowed both agents whole. Its jaws can open to ten times the size of a normal human being, allowing it to swallow nearly anything it desires. Studies have also shown Kevin has the fastest metabolism of any known creature. It was able to digest the two agents it swallowed in approximately ten minutes.

Kevin is only hostile when called or referred to as anything but Kevin, or when not fed. Kevin has an enormous appetite and needs to consume 45 Kilograms of food to stay full. When hungry, Kevin is unable to control itself and will either attempt to escape his confinements, or coax a guard into letting it out. Once it is fed, it has no memory of what it had done and apologizes for any harm it caused.

Most of the time, Kevin is cooperative and enjoys the company of many personnel. Kevin is somewhat able to speak through its muzzle, and isn't offended or frustrated with the restraints that must be used on it. Kevin claims it understands why we take precautions with it, and appreciates having at least some sense of control over its hunger attacks.

After Kevin and SDP-4171-1 were contained and fed, they were asked about where they came for and how they came into being. When asked, Kevin always says that they are from Peru, but have no idea how they got to Russia. Whenever Kevin is asked what it remembers about Peru or anything about its past life, it responds by saying, “I dunno” and quickly changes the subject, usually to something that has to do with mechanical engineering (Kevin's favorite thing to talk about).
