Item #: SCP-001-ARC
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-001 is to be kept in an 8 x 10 x 8 object chamber, surrounded by windows on either side of the chamber for constant observation, and lit by two (2) fluorescent light fixtures. No further special containment is required. As of SCP-001's apparent neutralization, SCP-001 is to be kept inside a containment locker located in Storage Sector 12 of Site-27. A digital code lock is to be secured onto said object's locker at all times. Should any person(s) under security clearance level four (4) discover the code to SCP-001's locker, amnestics are to be administered, and the code is to be scrambled. The scrambling of the code is to be done automatically and precisely.
Description: SCP-001 is a sheet of paper that summarizes the future of humanity as a whole in one word. SCP-001 is a sheet of paper that summarizes, supposedly, how SCP-001 feels about humanity's future. Once the contents are observed, subjects insist on the summary being absolutely correct, and seem agitated when confronted with possibility of falsity. Contents of SCP-001 are wrote in an unknown substance, hereby deemed SCP-001-2 considering it's possibly anomalous properties, though colors and light absorption seems to relate to the composition of vantablack. Any attempt at extracting the substance from the paper has failed. The substance appears to fade away over a span of twenty three (23) hours, leaving the page blank for, roughly, the next hour. After one (1) hour of blankness, and if no visual contact is currently being made with SCP-001, the page will be marked once again with SCP-001-2. The contents of SCP-001 has never differed from a single English word up until █/18/201█, when all signs of SCP-001-2 ceased, and the sheet of paper ceased it's anomalous functions. See Observation Log-001.
