Leaflet-Loosh 1

Day after a day. Week after a week. They were all happening in a continuous loop of the same events, over and over. Every day Dr. Leaflet was walking from a room into another room. He didn't mind being part of this repetitive loop. He would actually never stop the loop because it was already settled in as what it was. Dr. Leaflet would often stay for a while in the Foundations cantina. He wasn't really the chatty type of person, but a small conversation would be nice. It never happened.

Dr. Leaflet left the cantina with a bagel and continued on his own way. There was this room, which no one was paying attention, except for the janitors. He was walking past that room every day, not even caring about what could be inside.

This time it was different. Dr. Leaflet got to the hallway where the door was. From all of a sudden, he got a weird feeling and stopped in front of the room. The loop that he was going through could continue, but he decided to take a look inside. Dr. Leaflet opened the door and surprisingly a working fountain filled with waterlilies was just sitting there. He sat by the edge of the fountain, thinking about his days at the Foundation.

"Were all the days the same?" He thought to himself. Suddenly, something popped out of the water. Dr. Leaflet turned around to see a Koi, Japanese carp. "Are you sure, you didn't enter testing chamber?" He said to himself. Dr. Leaflet remembered that he had a bagel from the cantina and started tearing it up into smaller pieces. The fish was already waiting for the bagel to end up in the fountain when Dr. Leaflet threw one piece after another the fish was, what seems to be, happy.

"I never knew that the Foundation had 'normal' animals here," He said. "I wonder how long have you been here." Dr. Leaflet spent some time with the Koi and left after a while. This was one of the times when he had a chance to talk with someone, with a fish to be specific. He returned to his office and did of his work.

The following day, Dr. Leaflet repeated his actions. He took another bagel from the cantina and headed towards the room with the fountain. Sadly, the room was about to be replaced with a test chamber for being unused for a long time. Dr. Leaflet didn't know and entered the room.

"Where is the fountain?" He thought. Confused he turned the lights on and there was a hole in the ground after the fountain. Dr. Leaflet looked around the room and there were plastic bags filled with waterlilies and in one of them, there was the Koi. Regardless of the outcomes, Dr. Leaflet took the Koi into his office.

The problem was, where to put the Koi. It wasn't like a goldfish, that you just put in a glass bowl and then feed it. This fish was big. Dr. Leaflet left the Koi in a bag for now and went out of his office to look for a place or an object where he could the Koi in. He, actually, returned to the room where the fountain was. Luckily, there were these huge cubic boxes, probably just for the bags to get carried away. He grabbed one of the boxes and rushed to his office. He filled the box with water and then let the Koi swim in.

"Aaaaand the day is saved." He sighed in relief. Dr. Leaflet returned to the continuous loop of the same events, with a little change, he had someone to talk to.
