Special Containment Procedure: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a climate controlled secure storage box, in object storage. SCP-XXXX is not to be worn outside of testing approved by a level 2 researcher.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a Red Army Commissars visor cap produced in 1937. Despite its age the hat is in remarkably good condition, showing only moderate signs of aging and minimal damage. When placed on a subjects head, the subject will briefly show signs of disorientation before the items effect takes place. Subjects (Designated SCP-XXXX-1)exposed to SCP-XXXX in this way appear to have their personalities overridden and consciousness suppressed, and will begin vocalizations expected of a Soviet Commissar. Regardless of the gender, age, and background of the subject, they will speak with a strong accent consistent with that of a Russian male in his mid fifties. When removed from a subject no serious effects have been noted, short term exposure produces zero effects on the subject however long term exposure will influence the subjects personality and opinions. Subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX for a prolonged period of time will experience a shift in their opinions on the Soviet Union, Communism and world events of the Stalinist era. Interviews with SCP-XXXX have revealed that it believes itself to be 'Commissar Artyom Voronin' and, is highly distrustful of most Foundation personnel

Recovery: SCP-XXXX was recovered on November 19th, 2019 from ██████, a village in Oryol Oblast, Russian Federation. Retrial was carried out by foundation operatives posing as members of the Ministry of Culture. The Foundation was alerted by agents in the health service after a drastic increase in cases of schizophrenia concentrated in one town. All affected civilians were reported as having the same 'schizophrenic' symptoms.
