Special Containment Procedures: Pairs of SCP-####-1 are to be contained within a standard anomalous object containment cube located at Site-81. Instances of SCP-#### are to be contained 1 foot apart separated by a .5 inch thick layer of a non-memetic substance so that the two instances of SCP-####-1 do not interact. The same substance is to also be inside the walls of the containment cube with the aforementioned thickness of .5 of an inch.
The non-memetic substance may be removed for testing purposes, but strictly from the walls.
UPDATE: As of 03/██/18, strictly singular instances of SCP-#### (SCP-####-1) can test with other SCP objects above Safe class and/or humanoid SCPs.
SCP-#### is unable of doing so, currently only being able to test with Safe class SCP objects. This is for risk of destruction of SCP being tested with SCP-####, SCP-#### itself and/or breach in containment.
Description: Instances of SCP-#### appear to be pairs of poorly-made plastic traffic cones, yet very durable, appearing to fit onto figurines from the company titled ██████, Series 2. The cones are roughly 1" in width, height, and length. Instances of SCP-####-1 possess memetic qualities if in reach of each other by [RETACTED] feet (if not separated by a non-memetic material), and if they are outside of that radius but still inside 1 mile, they will be capable of impaling 2 living beings every 25 seconds outside of the former radius traveling at speeds recorded from 28 miles per hour to 10 times that speed. An SCP-#### will then proceed to duplicate the pair (referred to as SCP-####-2) every 1.5 minutes until 5 minutes have passed; which then will cause instances of SCP-#### to drop to the ground, entering an inactive, inert state. All spawned SCP-####-2s will disappear. An SCP-#### will reactivate after 11 hours. Likeliness of scenario has low probability since an SCP-#### cannot move while successfully contained.
As of 05/03/2018, cases reported have been relatively low, being only 4. All have been contained and are withheld in Site-81. A singular SCP-#### is to be referred to as SCP-####-1. The original recovery site was on the 2nd floor of a Days Inn Hotel, located in ██████████, Illinois. The total number of casualties was 8, including 3 from MTF Sigma-601. There were no fatalities.
Addendum: Not all of the plastic traffic cones in toys by the ██████ Company appear to have the qualities of an SCP-####. It is unclear what causes them to react this way though believed that only the earliest produced versions of the toy were made to be SCP-####-1. SCP-#### will only exist if both instances of SCP-####-1 are the earliest produced version.
Experiment Log
Date: 012/21/17:
Procedure: 2 D-class personnel given, individually, one cone from an SCP-####. D-class given instruction to walk towards each other at a steady pace, starting at 5,300 feet apart.
Details: When D-class & both instances of an SCP-####-1 came within a radius of each other by 5,280 feet (1 mile), both cones broke free from their grasps and flew together, now forming SCP-####. SCP-#### then proceeded split again, to shoot straight through both D-class personnel’s nose bridge. 2 fatalities. SCP-#### reforms and attempts to break through the viewing window. By the time the initial SCP-#### had reached 5 minutes since activation, it fell to the ground. The two SCP-####-2s dissipated, which had also tried to enter the viewing area. That instance of SCP-#### was now inactive and was collected and recontained.
