Dear neighbors 1
The metal must not win, neither the flesh.
The foundation thinks they can contain the war, but in truth, we must either join it or live to see a world that has no place for us.
There are a few that collude with both sides, like the factory, but that strengthens both sides, making the war all the more damaging to reality.
We try to carefully sabotage both sides' efforts trying to minimize the cost, both to human lives and to the fabric of reality while keeping the war going, for weakening one side too much would possibly allow the other side to win.
I'll be honest, we fucked up a few times, been too heavy-handed, caused a few anomalies, thankfully, our foundation assets were in just the right spots to minimize damage and the detection of our work.
I don't know about you but I have learned a lot, I've personally come a long way from that fateful morning when I threw a bunch of magnets on that construct and watched it tear itself apart.
The reason that I'm writing this is the addition of our 50th member.
Fifty people, lucky enough to survive beyond luck and into skill and experience.
I know each one of you personally so I won't lie to you, there is no winning this, all we can do is survive as long as we can and help keep the world spinning for another day.
Good luck, and do burn this message after you read it, we wouldn't want to be found out after escaping notice after [REDACTED] years.
Stay safe neighbors, and survive another day.
