the corrupted is a micro organism that infects a human host growing a hard fungus shell on the outside of its host. it will start to corrupt the brain to fully take control over the body. once it has succeeded in infecting the host it will attempt to kill anything in its sight.

and entry log from Dr: R. vardey stats that the infected host kills by impaling the victim with a dark purple shard that comes from the shell. he studies the corruption to try and find a way to counter the fungus or 'destroy' the organism. his studies show it take a full week for the host to become fully infected, before that they will show signs of aggression and lack of sleep and eating. once the infection is over the corpse of the victim with be eaten to the bone by the fungus and then it look for another host.
