My first SCP draft
Outline

SCP-XXXX

Class: safe?( I need to ask others )

Containment: gyroscopic container which inner holding area measures to .3m x .3m x .15m (1ft x 1ft x .5ft). Within the holding area, a [REDACTED] brand telescope case with the same previous measurements. Both are to be kept in a soundproof storage room on site-██

Description: recovered on [4/31/2006] outside [REDACTED], AZ along its original case when reports of a suicide during a meteor shower the night before had been brought to the attention of agents planted within the local police department. Apart from one additional suicide of an agent who had looked through SCP-XXXX, the item was recovered and brought back to site-[██] without incident.
SCP-XXXX is a [REDACTED] brand telescope that was manufactured circa ████ and has supposedly been used extensively by an American man by the name of Howard Phillips Lovecraft, a commonplace science fiction writer best known for his tales of cosmic horrors, now known as Scp-XXXX-1. Scp-XXXX-1 is thought to of used this telescope during its time writing, but it is unknown whether Scp-#-1’s stories were the cause or the effect of SCP-XXXX’s anomalous effects.
The anomalous effects of scp-XXXX are only manifested on one or both of two occasions: when a living, human being looks through the viewing side of scp-XXXX, or when a sound reaching over 70db reaches the same location.
Anomalous effects: I will do this after I finish test logs so as to describe it deductively and not inductively.

Addendum-1: Two notes were found within the original case for SCP-XXXX. One note appears to be significantly older, judging by the state of the paper, and the notes have been determined to have been written by separate authors. The older note reads as follows: “Please, keep quiet, for he slumbers in his deep sleep and we would find his awakening quite unpleasant, but, please, do continue to see his truths once I am gone. -H.P.L.” This note is thought to of been written by scp-XXXX-1 during its last months of life. The newer note reads as follows: "I was digging through my attic and I found this spooky telescope. You know where I live, so you already know why I'm giving it to you, and I know you love astrology, so I know you'll probably use it. -XOXO Mom"

Addendum-2: A Test was conducted on ██/██/████ by Dr. ██████ to determine the anomalous nature of SCP-XXXX beyond compelling viewers to suicide.
Test log 1: D-3151937 has been equipped with a two way earpiece connected to a microphone and speaker in Dr. ██████'s observation chamber and was instructed to not speak above a whisper. One guard has been equipped with the same tools in addition to a silenced pistol to be immediately used on D-3151937 should they make any noise above 70 db. SCP-XXXX has been set out in a ready to view configuration, and has not been out of said configuration since before containment.
Dr. ██████: approach scp-XXXX, D-3151937.
D-3151937: I don’t really wanna, doc.
Dr. ██████: May I imply why?
D-3151937: I’m getting shivers all up my spine, doc, and when I look at it I can’t do nothing but look right back away.
Dr. ██████: Noted, but noncompliance will result in your immediate termination… by the guard near the wall if necessary.
‘The guard slowly reaches for a silenced pistol on his waist and brandishes it.’
D-3151937 (nervously): A-alright, doc, I’ll go look at the thing.
‘The guard returns the weapon to its holster as D-3151937 walks toward SCP-XXXX.'
Dr. ██████: Describe what you see in as much detail as possible.
D-3151937: Alrighty, this here is just an old telescope. Hmm, I could be wrong, but I do believe it is made of brass. I see a couple of words on it, "[REDACTED]." Probably the brand or something of the like. But that's just about it, Doc.
Dr. ██████: Understood, now, please, look though the viewing side of SCP-XXXX.
'D-1351937 complies and after 10.37 seconds of seconds of silence, begins screaming and shaking SCP-XXXX. Space around SCP-XXXX then begins to fluctuate (later identified as the exponential rise of humes in the area).
'The guard quickly takes out his weapon'
Dr. ██████: Shoot already!
'The guard takes two successive shots at D-1351937, heavily fracturing their jaw and piercing just below their larynx. D-1351937, due to his injuries, ceases vocalization after running out of air and immediately falls to the floor.'
'End Test Log'
After testing concluded, D-1351937 was quickly carried to the infirmary and operated on to save their life on orders of Dr. ██████ on the premises that he could interview the D-class at a later date to determine what they had seen through SCP-XXXX.

Addendum-3: Interview transcript: on ██/██/████, approximately 2 months after Dr. ██████ conducted an interview with D-1351937. The purpose of the interview was to ascertain what D-1351937 had seen when they had observed through SCP-XXXX. D-1351937's wounds had previously left them unable to speak, but had now sufficiently healed to conduct this interview. The interview was conducted in the medical ward of site-██, as D-1351937 was still mildly sedated. It to note that D-1351937's speech was filled with coughing, stuttering, and, in response to the last question, had became unresponsive for 2 minutes and 32 seconds before answering.
Dr. ██████: Hello D-1351937.
D-1351937: I guess you're the Doc, huh? Howdy.
Dr. ██████: Yes, I am, and I'm hear to ask you some questions, if you're feeling up to it.
D-1351937: Well I do suppose that I am.
Dr. ██████: Excellent, can you describe what you had seen when you looked through SCP-XXXX?
D-1351937: Looked through the what?
Dr. ██████: The brass telescope, what do you remember seeing while looking through it?
D-1351937- I saw reality. I saw more than I had ever seen in my entire life, more than any man in his entire life, more than any and all people put together had ever seen in their lives. I saw a great, dreaming behemoth, one that would crush us all instantaneously with its mere consciousness. I saw this and averted my eyes, but it was to late, I looked back into this world and I saw it for what is was, a feeble dream in the mind of that monstrous leviathan, and, struck by despair, I sought for the dream to end. I screamed and raged at the abyss, and it returned my call. I was so close to freedom, but I was stopped by something.
'Realization flashes in D-1351937's eyes'
D-1351937: By you!
'End Log'
Following the last phrase, D-1351937 began to violently thrash in their bed and screaming at Dr. ██████ incoherently before promptly choking and dying. No efforts were made to save D-1351937's life as Dr. ██████ believed he now had all information necessary from them. Autopsies report that D-1351937's still healing Larynx burst back open and the severe internal bleeding produced a hemorrhagic shock in their brain, quickly killing them.
