Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept within a secure room with access granted only to Level 3 personnel and above. Any testing on D-class personnel with SCP-XXXX requires approval from at least two Level 4 personnel. Any person that dons SCP-XXXX (henceforth referred to as SCP-XXXX-1) without prior testing approval is to be terminated immediately. The pelvic region of the deceased SCP-XXXX-1 is to be structurally disabled as soon as possible through the use of either heavy ordinance or 50 caliber gunfire directed to the pelvis.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a normal pair of black size 11 mens █████ sneakers. Expert analysis by a representative from █████ estimates that the sneakers are approximately 7 years old judging by the significant wear on the footwear. However, it is hypothesised that the true age of the pair of sneakers is much younger due to the extreme duress placed on the shoes from its anomalous properties.
SCP-XXXX anomalous properties present when an individual puts the sneakers on. Testing reveals that SCP-XXXX-1 will often comment on the comfort and supportiveness of the shoes and will often begin pacing at a gentle walk. It is not yet known whether this is a cognitohazardous effect induced by the shoes, or merely a common observation by SCP-XXXX-1 victims.
Once SCP-XXXX-1 takes a singular step in SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-1 will be unable to stop walking or slow down. Moreover, SCP-XXXX is unable to be removed from SCP-XXXX-1 by any means tested. SCP-XXXX-1 will gradually accelerate at a constant acceleration of 0.002 ms-2. This acceleration will continue and appears to have no maximum velocity. The highest recorded velocity of an SCP-XXXX-1 instance was 35.3 ms-1. SCP-XXXX-1 remains conscious, and will report extreme pain, for the duration of this event until such a point as the subject loses consciousness from the high G-forces experienced. Acceleration only ceases once significant structural damage has occurred to SCP-XXXX-1 that impedes all locomotion. Termination of SCP-XXXX-1 does not result in any deceleration. In most instances, cessation of acceleration occurs as a result of crude yet complete amputation of the legs due to the extreme forces involved with travelling at such high velocities.
At this point, SCP-XXXX immediately halts where the amputation occurred and the upper body SCP-XXXX-1 is propelled forward, typically causing fatal blunt force trauma to the already mutilated individual. To date, SCP-XXXX has a 87% mortality rate, with the remaining 13% being heavily mutilated by their ordeal.
