Description: SCP-XXXX is an infohazardous phenomenon affecting approximately 99.9% of all living human beings. It is characterized by a sudden and irrational shift in personal ideology, usually resulting in the host distancing themselves from all non-infected individuals and actively seeking the company of those infected.
SCP-XXXX, in its purest form, may be traced to the host's acquisition of a single piece of information. This vector meme is adopted by the host, leading to infection. Signs of infection include:
- Contextualized ocular distortion
- Inability to comprehend certain statements
- Acceptance and use of severely flawed logic
- An innate rejection of any information that may contradict SCP-XXXX
The first documented case of SCP-XXXX occurred in 500BC, and by 1500 all but the most mnestically fortified were infected. However, in recent years, the general memetic tolerance of the human race has been increasing, leading to several cases of SCP-XXXX infection being overcome by individuals with exceptional conceptual fortitude.
