[BEGIN LOG]

SCP XXXX: Greetings professor.

Doctor Lien: Yes, uh- good morning SCP XXXX, I was instructed to perform an interview regarding your abilities. Would you be willing to answer some questions?

SCP XXXX: May we begin, professor?

Doctor Hamm: Yes, um, we shall SCP XXXX.

SCP XXXX: Of course, sir, and please, call me Ptah.

Doctor Lien: Yes, um, Ptah. Do you have an idea of how you obtained your anomalous properties?

SCP XXXX: well sir, I can’t say I do. I’ve always been a man of gold, and as far as I can tell, always will be. Despite my age its difficulty for me to fathom the concept of birth. Its surreal to think that life comes from life, which in turn comes from nothing.

Doctor Lien: Just to be clear, you where birthed?

SCP XXXX: No, at least I don’t think so. I don’t remember my creation, but frankly I can’t think of anyone who can. My first genuine memory is waking in the darkness of a tomb in Thebes. When you get to my age, your old memories tend to blend together.

Doctor Lien: how old are you Ptah?

SCP XXXX: oh my, that’s difficult to answer. I think my first real memory was around, 850 BC? It’s difficult to recall. I was worshipped by many groups, particularly the Egyptians. I don’t remember my reactions, other than that they varied. Somedays I wish I could remember, other days I don’t. The past held such atrocities, and I don’t wish to recall of them.

Doctor Lien: I’m sorry to hear that SCP XXXX. It’s difficult for me to imagine the experiences you must have. One more thing, since you cannot answer why you are made of gold, do you know why your belongings are? You are dressed in 1700s attire, so have your clothes always been with you?

SCP XXXX: That is surprisingly simple. Whenever I own dress myself in clothing, over the course of several minutes it turns to gold. I find it extremely uncomfortable to wear clothing not affected by me, which is one of the primary reasons I still wear these clothes. That and my clothes can be cleaned far easier by soaking it in water or grease.

Doctor Lien: Thank you for being so cooperative Ptah. I haven’t done many interviews, and you made this far easier than anticipated.

SCP XXXX: Glad I could help professor.
