Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained within a small vault on site 12. Level 1 Clearance is necessary to have access to the item but Level 2 Clearance is for permitting experiments or research. The object requires minimal surveillance as its anomalous activity is predictable and poses no immediate health risks to personnel. Physical contact should be kept to a minimal outside of testing because of how it’s components twist when in contact with human skin, and this effect lasts for six hours, which can interfere with planned research.
After personnel have participated in an experiment they should be psychologically evaluated to determine any personality changes, and judge if this will interfere with their duties. This data must be transferred to said personnel’s superiors if it proves they have been compromised, and they will have to be put on the retreat program to be eligible to return to their role/roles.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a Rubik’s Cube made of a light, undefined material, with the same dimensions as an average Rubik’s Cube (5.7x5.7x5.7 cm). When in contact with a human subject SCP-XXXX will begin solving itself by rotating, but if contact is lost then it will revert back to its original colour coding. When it finishes and each side is a separate colour, the individual making contact with it will discover their ‘true identity’. Subjects will then fall into a six (6) hour sleeping period where their eyes have been observed to remain still, and their breathing stops. This makes them appear to be dead but their blood flow and brain activity remain stable, and there hasn’t been a recorded explanation for this yet.
