Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a locked box.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a notebook that, if written in, will compel the writer to continue writing in it. The act of writing in SCP-XXXX will henceforth be referred to as 'exposure', and exposed individuals are designated SCP-XXXX-A. Initial exposure to SCP-XXXX results in SCP-XXXX-A exhibiting mild compulsion to continue writing, and only mild upsetness upon being relieved of SCP-XXXX. The contents of the writing also does not matter. It may be a personal story, a work of fiction, a set of instructions, or random words assembled without meaning. The writing must be linguistic in nature, and in a form that the writer is able to decode, even if not immediately understandable.

If SCP-XXXX-A fills more than half of a page worth of single line spacing (full page if skipping lines or using double height letters) SCP-XXXX-A will attempt to forcefully but non-violently seize the book from the individual taking the book from them. SCP-XXXX-A will cease forceful attempts to recover SCP-XXXX after having been separated by 2 meters or more. SCP-XXXX-A will continue to express verbal desires and occasional pleas to have the SCP-XXXX back and continue writing. Forceful attempts to reacquire SCP-XXXX will not be exhibited by SCP-XXXX-A until they have been re-exposed to it. Continued exposure to SCP-XXXX increases the range at which SCP-XXXX-1 will make forceful attempts to reacqire SCP-XXXX in a linear ratio of 4m:1pg, as well as increasing the lengths to which they will go to reacquire SCP-XXXX.

If SCP-XXXX-A fills SCP-XXXX with 6 or more pages of single spaced text, they will begin using violent and deadly means to reacquire SCP-XXXX.
