Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be locked behind a glass case with visability accessable from all sides. SCP-XXXX is kept under watch at all times by no fewer than two (2) armed guards that cannot be in any form of romantic relationship. Before entry into SCP-XXXX's containment chamber, personnel will be subjected to a background search. Any personnel in a romantic relationship will be denied access to SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX Positioned for Viewing
Description: SCP-XXXX is a black and gold fountain pen, with a black body and gold inlaid all throughout various points of the pen. The blackened body of the pen seems to be made of black quartz and the gold additions are made from 18K gold. Upon closer examination of the gold nib and clip of the pen; however, they appear to be constructed from brass to avoid the wear and tear that gold would show upon use. On the body of the pen, there is an enscription written in cursive which reads "We will be together, forever." This enscription is also in the 18K gold that is found throughout the rest of the pen.
The pen can be easily disassembled and reassembled. When disassembling the pen, the ink cartridge inside is around 90% full. On the side of the ink cartridge it reads, "contact █████████ to acquire additional ink cartridges as needed." The inside of the pen is standard in compairison to other fountain pens.
Depending on if an indiviudal is currently in, or was in, a romantic relationship, SCP-XXXX will have different effects when handled. If the individual handling SCP-XXXX has not been in any romantic relationships whatsoever, SCP-XXXX will function like a standard issue pen. If the individual handing SCP-XXXX is currently in a romantic relationship, the effects will vary depending on the progress of the relationship of the individual1 If the individual handling SCP-XXXX was previously in a romantic relationship of any kind, the effects will still vary but the results will be more defined. SCP-XXXX will instill feelings of jealousy, mistrust, anger, and other negative emotions in subjects who handle it. Subjects have reported hearing voices which allows these emotions to surface. It is suspected that SCP-XXXX uses the flaws of the partner as ammunition for these emotions. The reason behind this is currently unknown.
NOTE Also, effects do not happen at once, slow burn of insanity and voices in the subject. Strongest relationships can overcome the power of the SCP, weaker ones die out. Maybe it just causes relationships to grow stronger together, where it causes all the strife, but then they realize how much the relationship means to each other.

NOTE: This tape was found at the scene where SCP-XXXX was discovered, personnel are mandated to listen to it before interacting with SCP-XXXX to understand the potental risks SCP-XXXX poses. In the tape a female voice is heard.

So this is where are we are now? I'm making this tape so that people know my side of the story. I loved him, and he loved me, he just didn't know it. We were destined to be together and nothing would stand in the way of our love. Then he started dating her, and everything started to go wrong. We had to be together, so I made this pen with special properties and gave it to *her*. It would make them break up so we could be together. I did not expect for her to [AUDIO CORRUPTED] and I was besides myself as a result. At least we will still be together forever in one moment, I just need to make the final preparations. So that is my story, now I will go and [AUDIO CORRUPTED], we will be together forever, and no one will get in the way.

Foundation agents recovered this audio tape onsite, where SCP-XXXX was subsequently recovered after analyisis of the tape led to positive identification of the SCP in question. Also at the scene of recovery, the bodies of two persons, a 17-year old female, and a 17-year old male, were both recovered. Cause of death for the female was a self-inflicted stab wound to chest, cause of death for the male was multiple stab wounds in the upper torso consistent with someone who has flown into a maniac state.
