SCP-XXXX—The Bookkept
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in the middle of Site-322. No matter is to be brought inside of the containment area.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a library in a tree surrounded by a disintegration field at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. The tree is close to 1,500 cubic meters in volume, while the field extends outward with a 10-meter radius from the middle. The anomaly distorted water currents and lead to a reduction in the ocean level by a centimeter per day until it was found and contained by the construction of Site-322. The disintegration field is active throughout the entirety of SCP-XXXX and cannot be circumvented through teleportation. A red symbol is painted on the tree trunk.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in the middle of Site-322. No matter is allowed in the containment area without both Level 4 authorization and (if applicable) heavy psychological screening.
Description: The field around SCP-XXXX converts matter into information and stores it in books. The information is compressed into an extremely info-dense script which keeps track of the position of every atom of matter prior to disintegration, and the path it took through the universe up to the moment of the Big Bang. The symbol on the tree trunk grants immunity to the disintegration effect.
The symbol can be memorized, allowing a conscious entity to take control over the tree's anomalous effects and comprehend the script. The entity's body is then disintegrated, regardless of whether the symbol is placed on it. If the entity is displaced by another controller, their body is reformed and they are rejected from SCP-XXXX. Their mind-state is returned to what it was before entering SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX Personal Notes: Realism of electric transfer/hardness test, units of electric power.
Deactivated state.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: The whereabouts of SCP-XXXX are currently unknown, though it is presumably within SCP-XXXX-2. Search teams are to be advised that any method of generating electricity attempted within SCP-XXXX-2 or the room it resides in will fail. If SCP-XXXX is found, the provided capacitors are to be connected to it. After the object loses its luminosity, the capacitors are to be immediately removed and it is to be brought back to the foundation in the provided container. If the container is unavailable, it is to be wrapped in the best insulator on hand. Do not under any circumstances bring SCP-XXXX into contact with potential sources of electricity while it is being transported.
SCP-XXXX-2 is to have four armed guards stationed beside it at all times, and two more directly outside of the containment cell. In case of any incursion via SCP-XXXX-2 into the foundation, on-site staff must evacuate and trigger lockdown from the terminals located directly outside the room. A mobile task force is to be on duty in the general vicinity of SCP-XXXX-2 at all times. Interacting with SPC-XXXX-2 in nonstandard ways may be fatal.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a dull[[ footnote]] Conditional: SCP-XXXX was last seen shining at levels high enough to force an on-site researcher to avert her eyes. [[/footnote]] green chunk of crystal. It weighs 32 kilograms and is measured to be 85 centimeters lengthwise and 23 centimeters in height. SCP-XXXX appears to be indestructible. SCP-XXXX may appear to be glowing, levitating, and sparking with electricity.
SCP-XXXX-2 is a portal that is roughly circular in shape. Its radius fluctuates from about 3 to 6 meters. It appears to be two-dimensional and possesses irregular, shifting edges of primarily black and white colors—though the entire color spectrum has been observed. Matter crosses seamlessly between both sides, and there is no time differential between dimensions. Objects viewed through SCP-XXXX-2 appear and act as if they are on the other side of an open door.
Additional Notes: SCP-XXXX may not exist, or may actually be SCP-XXXX-2. Discontinuing the search for SCP-XXXX is recommended if it yields no results within 2 months. Due to the large number of anomalies found beyond SCP-XXXX-2, a permanent search

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in locker 31, wing 5 of the facility. Care is to be taken to ensure it is not stored or transported alongside delicate equipment.
Description: The item was detected on 2 May 2015 in low Earth orbit. Observation determined that the object maintained a fixed position above the Pacific Ocean, and appeared to be glowing. It has since fallen to Earth after steady dimming, starting at around 13:00 on 13 November 2017 and ending 12 days later. A Mobile Task Force was deployed and retrieved the object.
| SCP-XXXX-T1: Hardness Test |
|---|
Testing was begun to measure SCP-XXXX against the Mohs scale of hardness. A powered drill with several bits was used. After the diamond bit achieved no results, an attempt was made to scrape off flakes of the object for analysis. No material was acquired. An electron microscope was requested and acquired. SCP-XXXX was declared "a fundamental particle." The researcher assigned to the object was then interviewed.

Interviewed: Karen Eiffel, researcher.
Interviewer: Stanford Mayes, data analyst.
<Begin Log, 12/24/2017 07:36:21>
Mayes: Welcome—Karen, was it?
Eiffel: Yes, that's correct.
Mayes: Excellent. Have a seat over there.
Karen does so.
Mayes: I understand you're quite eager to continue investigating your assigned project, so I won't take too much of your time.
Eiffel: Good.
Mayes: Now, the anomaly you're investigating—you say it's a fundamental particle? Can you tell me what that means?
Eiffel: Well—you understand I can't be completely certain. It may be that the item originates from some other reality where the Pauli exclusion principle isn't in force to the same extent it is here, or—Mayes: Of course, of course. But assuming it is, what are the implications?
Karen sits back and thinks.Eiffel: I'm not sure. We already have indestructible anomalies, and the implications of that are thoroughly understood. I'll need to do some more tests, see how it interacts with different forms of matter and energy. It changes states, we know that from the observation reports, and it somehow anchored itself to a relative position. If we figure out how to reactivate it, we could use it to support structures in midair—and if we can manipulate what it's anchored to, we may have access to an arbitrarily fast, completely free propulsion system.
Mayes: But you can't think of anything to do with the anomaly as it is now?
Karen slowly shakes her head.
Mayes: Alright then. Feel free to come see me at any time, if only to bounce ideas around. I know how it can get with some of the 'safe' anomalies.Karen sighs.
Eiffel: (Mutters) Yeah. Wouldn't even let me have a research assistant.
Mayes: Tell you what. You find some use for the anomaly as it is now—any use—and I'll see if I can't persuade the higher-ups to send a little something your way.
Eiffel: I'd like that.
Karen and Stanford stand up and shake hands. Karen leaves.

██/██/██: Researcher Karen Eiffel determines SCP is a fundamental particle, and later requests use of a portable generator.
██/██/██: Request of portable generator for study of SCP granted. SCP is subjected to ████ █████████ of electricity before the generator is switched off. No change in SCP is noted. A digital power analyzer confirms that SCP stores electricity. Approximately one hour after the generator is deactivated, a power bank is connected to SCP, and retrieves 99.9% of the stored power. SCP is then charged with ████ █████████ of electricity and placed in storage for █ weeks.
██/██/██: SCP is retrieved from storage and connected to a power bank. All electricity excepting half a watt is retaken. Researcher Karen ██████ tentatively concludes SCP has the ability to store an arbitrarily large amount of power with no decay. More time and resources are requested and granted.
██/██/██: When SCP reaches ██████ █████████ of stored electricity, its color changes from a dull green to a bright neon shade and acquires a glow of 6,700 lumens. Researcher Karen ██████ reported the smell of ozone filling the air before she exited the test chambers and initiated lockdown. Staff monitoring cameras see SCP rising into the air and spinning while electricity arcs across its surface. Cameras then go black. All footage of SCP in active state is unretrievable.
Nothing unusual is detected outside of the testing chamber temporarily housing SCP. A remote drone is deployed and immediately loses power on entering the room. Four D-class are deployed along with two escorts. The external door is opened manually, and the D-class sent in to open the inner door while the escorts stay outside. After calling the all-clear, the escorts enter. The following is a report of the interior:
There was a ██████ in the middle of the room. The view showed several trees, some vegetation, and a portion of the sky from the perspective of the ground, looking up. Two of the [D-class] attempted escape, while another became violently ill when confronted with the ██████'s skewed frame of reference.
After some debate, the decision was made to start exploration of the ██████, now termed SCP-XXXX-2.
██/██/██: After SCP-XXXX-2 began noticeably shrinking, SCP-████ was used to stabilize it.
██/██/██: The cause of the equipment outage is determined to be the requirement for electricity. Any generated electrical current outside of living beings disappears at a certain radius from SCP-XXXX-2. The radius can be reduced through solid objects and at the edge, batteries drain extremely quickly instead of instantly.
██/██/██: D-class personnel are sent through SCP-XXXX-2 to explore, accompanied by a small expendable task force.
██/██/██: Initial report from beyond the SCP-XXXX-2 is received. While electrical current immediately disappears no matter the means used to generate it, physics appears otherwise normal. The runner tasked with delivering messages to and from SCP-XXXX-2 describes "a sort of cold feeling…like the life's just been sucked out of me," when moving to the foundation side.
██/██/██: Humanoid being apprehended. Determined to be anomalous.
██/██/██: SCP procedures established for humanoid.
██/██/██: Multiple anomalies found, both intelligent and otherwise. Current hypothesis is that some powerful, intelligent reality warpers reside in ████████ ███.
██/██/██: Request for permanent extension of the foundation on other side of SCP-XXXX-2 is granted.
██/██/██: Request to redact nature of SCP-XXXX-2 to any personnel lacking level 3 clearance granted after [Redacted].
