Possessed Radiogram

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 5x5 metre containment room constructed of a carbon-steel alloy coated with at least 15cm of thick mass-loaded vinyl on every surface. A hermetically sealed airlock with similar sound proofing specifications should be the only entrance to the room with at least two armed guards stationed outside at any time. Any personnel entering the room are required to carry a pair of noise cancelling headphones to prevent exposure to SCP-XXXX-A.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an entity, currently housed within a 1957 Phillips Radiogram. SCP-XXXX-2 creates a constant Eb sound wave at a frequency of 19.45Hz without a noticeable source of power classed as SCP-XXXX-A. Short term direct exposure to SCP-XXXX-A (under 900 seconds) leads to subjects experiencing pleas for help (noted as loved ones by screened subjects), high pitched mono-tonal laughter as well as voices insisting the subject causes a breach of SCP-XXXX from its containment. Removal from the sound will cause the loss of these effects. SCP-XXXX-A has the ability to cause this effect on multiple subjects exposed to the sound, with each subject experiencing different effects. Long term direct exposure to SCP-XXXX-A (approximately 900 seconds and above) leads to the subject attempting to remove both their eyes and ears. Removal from the sound after 900 seconds of exposure does not lead to the removal of these effects, with the subject experiencing severe psychological damage.

SCP-XXXX was previously housed within a separate Phillips Radiogram before the destruction of SCP-XXXX-1 lead to the host migration to SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-A does not have these abilities when transmitted, allowing for the safe communication with personnel in the containment room of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-A has no limit to its area and can resonate with any air it comes into contact with, allowing for near endless spread of SCP-XXXX-A.
