Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently contained by tracking its movement with the use of Foundation satellites. A method of permanent containment is currently undergoing research.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a UFO of unknown variety or origin. It appears to be a large bubble, measuring roughly 2 meters in length. It is highly mobile, though it never strays from an altitude of approximately 1 km. It moves at a speed of approximately 80 km/h, though this is not constant and it can gradually alter its speed and direction. SCP-XXXX always moves towards the nearest cloud. Darker clouds are always chosen over lighter ones, and as such, it typically is found in rain.
There appears to be a dark object resting inside of SCP-XXXX. It is hypothesized to be the source of SCP-XXXX’s locomotion. However, its function and origin are also unknown.
SCP-XXXX is believed to have been first spotted as early as 1971. It came to the Foundation’s attention in 2011, after repeated reports of a bubble-like UFO were followed up on. Due to the overwhelming number of false UFO claims from civilians, the use of amnestic treatment for witnesses was not deemed necessary.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Neutralized
Incident Report: On October 4th, 2011, an attempt to permanently contain SCP-XXXX was made. Foundation operatives pinpointed the location of SCP-XXXX and moved in to capture it with the use of aircraft. Shortly after, SCP-XXXX ruptured from below and released the previously mentioned dark object from within. Attempts to catch the object were unsuccessful. The subsequent search for the object in the Pacific Ocean was unsuccessful. After releasing its contents, SCP-XXXX slowed to a stop and floated in place. It was retrieved for study and is now held in storage.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a deflated uterus of extrasolar origin. Its biological components have been analyzed and traced back to the planet XC-196-H5 in the Andromeda galaxy, which vanished at an indeterminate time between 1957 and 1962. The planet is believed to have entered an unstable orbit, which caused it to exit its solar system. SCP-XXXX is believed to have originated from an intelligent organism alive on XC-196-H5 prior to its orbital instability.
In addition to its biological components, SCP-XXXX has been augmented with technological components, including a small computer. The computer is programmed to locomote SCP-XXXX into specific weather and thermal conditions, presumably to aid the growth of the child.
The precise method by which SCP-XXXX became present on Earth is still unknown. However, it is known that the intelligent life on XC-196-H5 possessed more advanced technological capabilities compared to that of an average human, and it is thus hypothesized that SCP-XXXX was sent by a form of teleportation.
The ongoing search for the fetus that was once present inside of SCP-XXXX remains unsuccessful.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: For ease of use, SCP-XXXX is contained in a locker in a room near the living quarters in the A wing of Site-64. As it has substantially increased morale, all personnel are authorized to make appointments with the assigned Tarot reader, in order to receive readings. Personnel are limited to one session per week.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a deck of 78 Tarot cards. The deck is handcrafted, and after research, has been determined to be the only one of its make. It is contained in a box labeled “Lovely Tarot”, presumably made along with the deck. The box has no names or other identifiers. Investigation to determine the person or people responsible for SCP-XXXX’s creation is ongoing.
SCP-XXXX consists of 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana, as is with standard decks, all with original painted illustrations. These illustrations depict characters and scenery consistent with Tarot meanings and symbolisms. In addition to this, the cards have the ability to create “visions” for viewers. When laid face-up, a card can project a moving image into the air, which can subsequently be viewed by any individuals present. These projections are intangible and are treated as a vision-altering anomaly.
The content of these projections changes depending on the intent of the use of a card. If not being used in a reading, a card may not project an image at all. If one is not familiar with a card’s meaning or simply wishes to display its anomalous effect, it may project an image of the card’s illustration. In Tarot readings, cards can and usually do create vivid imagery, consisting of symbolism that directly relates to a subject’s current state in life, sometimes even depicting certain people or events of relevance. Oftentimes, SCP-XXXX also changes the local temperature and light level in order to match its projections, but never to an uncomfortable degree.
Subjects who partake in readings usually describe the imagery as “beautiful”, “gorgeous”, “mystical”, or other things of that nature, and universally leave satisfied, with a renewed sense of direction, self-worth, and stability. It has been determined that this is not a mind-altering anomaly, but a product of SCP-XXXX’s apparent ability to provide a subject with knowledge they feel is useful and self-assuring.
Addendum 1: Provided is a partial list of readings done using SCP-XXXX and the “visions” produced. Information made available with consent of subjects involved—all subjects are anonymous.
Circumstance: Subject struggled with feelings of guilt, unable to self-forgive
Spread: Problem, Cause, Solution, Outcome
Cards: Nine of Swords, Five of Wands, King of Pentacles, Ace of Swords
Vision: A man is seen inside a bright red glow. He shields himself
Addendum 2: Although no names or other identifiers can be found on the box containing SCP-XXXX, there is a message printed on the back, which reads as follows:
To whomever is reading: this is my gift to you. Use it well, and use it for good. I sincerely hope it will help you to find the answers you seek. Know that the cards aren’t magical themselves—they merely manifest the magic that’s already within you. They show you what you already know, deep inside. Your spirit is your guide, and the cards are a reminder.
Stay strong, my children. ♡

Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Provisional Site-XXXX has been covertly erected in Agadez, Niger to assist containment efforts of SCP-XXXX. Lieu de Pluie has been isolated from outside society, and the cover story that the village is a protected monument is to be maintained. Current containment efforts are focused upon discouraging explorations into the Ténéré, using the cover story that travelers who had attempted to reach the monument's location had never returned. In the event that an individual discovers Lieu de Pluie, they are to be either incorporated into the village's population or administered an amnestic and relocated to Agadez, at the discretion of the stationed agent.
One field agent is to be stationed in Lieu de Pluie in order to monitor the village and its surrounding area. This agent is to encourage the religious beliefs of the villagers and discourage attempts to leave by maintaining the belief that outsiders would steal their water supply for selfish purposes. Villagers are to be told that the agent's presence is for protection purposes. Threats and/or physical violence towards the villagers are not allowed.
Satellite imaging of Lieu de Pluie is to be replaced by images of featureless desert.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an immobile nimbostratus cloud located in eastern Niger's Ténéré region, a south-central section of the Sahara Desert. It is located approximately 150 kilometers north of the Fachi oasis. It continually produces an estimated 66 m (6,600 cm) of rainfall each year in a 50 m2 area, despite the Ténéré usually receiving an average of 10 to 15 mm of annual precipitation. SCP-XXXX and its precipitation are invisible to all observers, camera equipment, and weather radars at distances of approximately 300 meters or more.
All water produced by SCP-XXXX is clean and drinkable. This water will mix with sand on the ground below to a depth of approximately 7 cm before disappearing, leaving only dry sand at lower depths. SCP-XXXX has not been seen to cease precipitating since its discovery.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX was discovered on August 19th, 1993, after a Foundation agent stationed in Agadez, Niger became aware of stories of a new village called "Lieu de Pluie"1 that had been blessed with eternal rain. SCP-XXXX's existence was confirmed upon further investigation.
The following is an excerpt from the agent's initial discovery report:
After veering off the path from Agadez to Dirkou, we indeed reached a small village. There were some 30 or 40 people already living there, in small huts, all built around the constant downpour of water. Some of the people with me were there in order to move there permanently, from places like Agadez, Fachi, and Bilma. After I was able to confirm the presence of the anomaly and collect a sample, their leader called everyone's attention.
He called himself Amir. He explained that he was the one who had come across the rain in the first place, after traveling through the desert. As he stood there, in front of the shower, the people stared, watchful and attentive. He explained for all the newcomers that what he found was an act of a God, and by saving him from certain death, he was chosen as His messenger. He seemed to be planning to share the water from this cloud with everyone and spread it throughout Africa. Most villagers readily accepted this and demonstrated it by clapping and rejoicing. They treated him with reverence, as a savior. I don't think they'd be easily convinced to leave.
The newcomers filled buckets with the water from the cloud and brought them back with them. At this rate, the amount of evidence of this new anomaly's existence will become too great to hide in not much time. I suggest we isolate this area.
MTF Epsilon-77 ("Cloudbusters", now defunct) was established along with Provisional Site-XXXX in order to contain the newly discovered anomaly. Attached below is the initial containment report of SCP-XXXX by Commander of Epsilon-77.
Containment Report XXXX
Date of Containment: 28/8/1993
Recovery Team: MTF Epsilon-77 "Cloudbusters"
Result: SUCCESS
Report: My team and I made our way to Lieu de Pluie. Once there, we called all of the villagers out and notified them that there was an evil group that had learned of the cloud. We were dressed up like Nigerien government officials to make it more believable. Amir was obviously suspicious. Arms crossed, eyes squinted, all that. We told them that this group was coming to keep this cloud for themselves, and would murder them all if they had to.
There were children there, with their mothers holding them close. So this got them scared quick. We told them that we would keep an agent there for their protection, and the rest of us would deal with the “evil group”. No one would be coming to or leaving the village anymore.
Amir wasn’t having any of it. Although he didn’t want the water to be kept by someone else for their selfish purposes, he also believed that his god wouldn’t let something like that happen, and he and his village was protected. His followers were split on who to listen to. Fortunately, we had a Plan B: take Amir back with us and tell him he’ll help us eliminate this threat.
It was a success. He came back with us, bidding a farewell to his village, and the agent we left behind there. Then it was just a matter of amnesticizing him and reintegrating him into society, spreading misinformation about Lieu de Pluie, and telling the villagers Amir had died at the hands of the “evil group”, but that we would keep working on holding them back. Our work here is done.
During initial containment of SCP-XXXX, a journal owned by "Amir" was recovered, due to it containing information of SCP-XXXX and its properties. An excerpt from this journal, translated from French, is attached below.
Just when I thought all my hope was lost, I looked to the sky to see a singular cloud amidst the empty blueness. There I saw cover from the eternal furnace of the desert. I rushed toward it, and I could not believe my eyes, for there it was raining. It was a great rain from heaven itself. I basked in its glory as I showered and drank in abundance. A divine power had saved me from perishing, and from then on I knew it was my destiny to share my gift with the people.
From here I will gather a town, and we will share the gift of the God of Rain with all of Africa, and I will be their leader. No more will the weak and humble fall from thirst. Just as the Nile once acted as the lifeline of the land, the Place of Rain will be the heart pumping its fertile blood throughout the veins of Africa. A new era has begun. The sky oasis will save us all.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept in a standard anomalous object container in the C wing of Site-64. Testing is to be conducted by at least two Level-3 personnel. All tests performed on SCP-XXXX must not exceed thirty minutes.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a red pocket notebook, measuring 5.5 cm x 3.5 cm. Most pages contain lists of synesthetic2 associations believed to have been written by the original owner, Maria Pollard, as a personal account. These associations take many forms, including but not limited to:
When an individual reads an association directly from SCP-XXXX (an inducer and its concurrent), they will involuntarily adopt that association themselves—when the individual experiences the inducer, they will automatically experience the concurrent. This effect will only occur if the individual reads it from the object itself. Subsequent time spent being in physical contact with and/or looking at SCP-XXXX will increase the strength of acquired associations; they begin as solely associative but quickly become projective through continued exposure. Sufficient exposure to SCP-XXXX7 causes an affected subject's acquired synesthesia to materialize in the physical world.
SCP-XXXX was recovered in the home of Maria Pollard, located in Portland, Oregon, after she was found dead with various items of food lodged inside of her throat. Autopsy results reveal that she died due to choking. SCP-XXXX was found in her hand. Police investigating the scene noticed the effects of the object after some time. The Foundation was then notified and SCP-XXXX was successfully contained.
Addendum XXXX-A: The following is an incomplete list of associations transcribed from SCP-XXXX. For the full list, see Document XXXX-1.

Date: 6/8/2019
Subject: D-38857
Subject was told to read the first page of SCP-XXXX, which contains mostly number-color associations. Subject held the object for approximately five minutes before it was put back into containment. Subject reported understanding "how those numbers and colors could go together", and after 24 hours, stated "I'm not sure how I didn't think of numbers with colors before", indicating the strength of his gained associations did not decrease.
Date: 6/11/2019
Subject: D-28736Subject was allowed to freely read the contents of SCP-XXXX for five minutes. Afterward, she was administered Class-C amnestics. Subject lost her memory of SCP-XXXX, but the synesthesia that she acquired from it remained, despite the subject being unable to remember how she had acquired it.
Date: 6/26/2019
Subject: D-63096D-63096 was a native Spanish speaker, displaying no ability to read, write, or speak English. Subject was told to "read" the contents of SCP-XXXX for five minutes. Afterward, tests showed she had not gained any synesthetic associations, confirming that the ability to read English is necessary for the anomalous effect to occur.
Date: 7/2/2019
Subject: D-192873D-192873 was a synesthete, having grapheme-color synesthesia. Subject was told to list his grapheme-color associations on a sheet of paper, and to then read all grapheme-color associations listed in SCP-XXXX. Afterward, subject was administered Class-C amnestics, and after 24 hours, he was again asked to list all of his grapheme-color associations on a sheet of paper. Comparing the two documents shows that he retained all of his previous associations, in addition to ones gained from SCP-XXXX. Subject described this as "seeing a mix of two colors in one number or word".
Date: 7/14/2019
Subject: D-12873Subject was instructed to read and copy 15 pages from SCP-XXXX onto another sheet of paper, spending one minute on each page. She was then administered Class-B amnestics. Later, the assigned researcher read off each inducer listed on the page to her, instructing her to respond with the appropriate concurrent. Subject was able to recall each concurrent with 100% accuracy, stating "sometimes the effect of one leads into another. Like, you say 'comfortable', so I immediately taste chocolate. But then I start seeing brown, and I get this weird feeling in my back, which makes me hear a low moaning sound… it's disorienting."
Date: 7/29/2019
Subject: D-220201Subject was instructed to read and copy 30 pages from SCP-XXXX onto another sheet of paper, spending one minute on each page. Of note is that when the subject was referred to by his D-class designation, small "blobs" of color were seen to materialize in front of his eyes. These "blobs" were blue and white, corresponding to associations in SCP-XXXX relating the letter D and the number 2 to blue, as well as the number 0 to be clear, or white. Furthermore, the numbers and words on the sheet of paper he was writing on began to colorize, despite the fact that he was using a standard No. 2 graphite pencil.
Afterward, he was administered Class-B amnestics. When tested, he recalled each concurrent he had read with 100% accuracy. Similar "blobs" of color appeared in front of the subject when speaking numbers and specific words. These were seen to match the associations listed on the paper.
Incident XXXX-8.8.19: On 8/8/2019, a test was conducted in which a D-class subject was instructed to read the entirety of SCP-XXXX. Transcribed below is an interview about the incident conducted between Assistant Director of Research Dr. Avery Sanchez, and Dr. M, the lead researcher of SCP-XXXX at the time, who wished to remain anonymous.
Date of Interview: 8/10/2019
Interviewer: Dr. Avery Sanchez, Asst. Dir. of Research at Site-64
Interviewee: Dr. M████
Subject: Incident XXXX-8.8.19
Sanchez: Thank you, Dr. M████. Now, can you tell me what happened on August 8th, concerning SCP-XXXX? This is for the record.
M: Yeah. Sorry, I'm just… you'd think I'd be used to this shit by now, but it still fucks me up.
Sanchez: Whenever you're ready.
Dr. M takes a moment to compose himself.
M: All right. So we had been consistently ramping up how far we were willing to go with XXXX. We finally decided, let's see what will happen when the whole thing is read, right? Nothing dangerous had ever happened at this point. We'd follow standard procedure, give them amnestics, see how much they could remember, and how much stronger the effects would become. We thought they'd be pretty strong at that point, seeing as colors started actually appearing before our eyes. We wondered if anything else would start becoming physical. When I say "we", I mean the research team, by the way.
Sanchez: Right.
M: Yeah. So, we put the D-class in, told him to read the whole thing. Everything was normal for a while. And just like before, after about 30 minutes, we started to see colors. We think that as the guy was reading the words, he thought this word was blue, this word was red, stuff like that. He associated them so strongly that even we could see it with him.
Sanchez: Have you gained synesthesia by witnessing these things?
M: No. You only get them from reading the book itself. Thank god.
Sanchez: I see. Please continue.
M: Dr. M sighs. Right. So, there's no easy way around saying this. The D-class died, obviously. First we started hearing noises. Like faint giggling, humming. We thought that was odd. And the D-class said he was very uncomfortable. He wasn't the one making the sounds. But we were committed at that point, so we—I told him to keep going. It all happened so fast after that. The colors in the air got bigger, a lot bigger. The guy was trying to keep reading, but it became too much for him. We could see him twitching, the noises got louder… one thing led to another. A black blob appeared, bigger than the rest of them. He collapsed. We could see him spitting things from his mouth, trying to breathe. We were panicking, of course, trying to communicate. But it was too late. He was screaming, spasming, and there was so much noise. The black shroud took up the whole room, and after that, he was dead. All the weird shit disappeared right along with him. He choked to death on food crammed in his throat.
Sanchez: And what do you believe was the cause of these occurrences?
M: Well, he read so many associations that everything became associated with everything else. It's like a chain reaction. He read a word, and that made him think of a color, and the color made him taste something, and the taste made him hear something, and the sound made him feel something, and so on. It's a sensory overload. That's why I'm glad I didn't get any synesthesia from watching.
Sanchez: Understood. That will be all. Thank you for your time, Dr. M████.
M: Thanks.
Following this incident, SCP-XXXX is no longer allowed to be tested with for 30 or more minutes collectively with any one subject.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Object is to be kept in a sealed box within a standard Safe-object containment locker. Testing is only to be done when authorized by no less than two (2) Level-3 personnel on-site. Test conductors are to be ready to terminate test subjects on command.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a pair of ACME brand metallic scissors, measuring approximately 15.5 cm in length. No anomalous effects are apparent when the object is used for its intended purposes. However, when SCP-XXXX is applied to hair, its efficiency is drastically increased. Although the object’s sharpness is typical for an object of its make, it will cut through any hair without resistance.
Additionally, after SCP-XXXX is used to extract hair, the point from which the hair grew will also increase in efficiency. The mean hair production rate for areas affected by SCP-XXXX once is approximately .6 cm/h. This rate increases as the number of times SCP-XXXX is used to cut an individual’s hair increases, with rates going up to as much as 3 cm/s after 10 uses.
Cessation of hair growth will only occur upon expiration of the individual or upon removal of [DATA EXPUNGED]. Using non-anomalous scissors to cut an individual’s hair while SCP-XXXX is in effect will cause no change in hair growth rate. There is currently no known way to reverse SCP-XXXX’s effect, and the origin of its properties is unknown.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX was recovered on in abandoned house near the town ███████, Oregon. Foundation operatives were notified of a building "rapidly growing hair". By the time agents arrived, the growing had stopped. Once the area had been cleared enough to enter, agents found 7 corpses, all appearing be teenage, believed to be the [REDACTED], suffocated with hair. SCP-XXXX was recovered from the hand of one of the corpses, identified as Sophie ████.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, full containment is not feasibly possible. Knowledge of its contents is restricted to the O5-Council and specially chosen Level-4 personnel. Under no circumstances should any form of SCP-XXXX be recorded, whether through writing, voice recording, memory, or any other means, except to the aforementioned personnel, who have committed it to memory by necessity. Should any individual claim to know SCP-XXXX, they are to be terminated immediately to avoid any potential risk of casualties. Personnel who require knowledge of SCP-XXXX are to be administered amnestics appropriate to removing SCP-XXXX from memory once their task has been completed.
Bot-XXXX has been created and is used to monitor Internet websites (especially those which primarily use English) for keywords of SCP-XXXX. Any sequence of words it deems as similar to SCP-XXXX are modified so that keywords are replaced with synonyms, or in more severe cases, removed altogether. In the event that an individual attempts to access the bot's programming in order to view the keywords, the bot will erase its own memory, and the individual will be punished at the discretion of the on-site overseer.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a sentence of the English language, theorized to be about twenty (20) to thirty (30) words long. An individual who hears this sentence uttered out loud and understands its meaning immediately undergoes cardiac arrest, usually resulting in death. This effect is not applied to people who cannot hear and/or cannot understand the sentence, such as deaf people and individuals who don’t speak English. This effect will also apply to the speaker, unless they are also deaf, do not understand the words, or are otherwise in a state in which they cannot hear. It is currently unknown how SCP-XXXX causes this effect.
Although this has not been tested, it has been hypothesized that certain animals that are capable of understanding English could also be affected by SCP-XXXX. When processed through methods other than human speech, such as writing, lip-reading, or text-to-speech applications9, SCP-XXXX's effect is not triggered. Due to its hazardous nature, no testing of SCP-XXXX is planned.
SCP-XXXX was “recovered” on ██/██/20██, when an individual speaking on news television network ██████████ uttered SCP-XXXX, which resulted in their immediate death and an additional ████ casualties.10 Foundation operatives were notified, and the nature of SCP-XXXX was discovered after many attempts to identify the source of the effect. To avoid further danger, all records of the television script were quickly erased, SCP-XXXX was carefully provided to the O5 Council and Level-4 operatives, and all nonessential personnel who had committed SCP-XXXX to memory were administered appropriate amnestics.
Bot-XXXX was created in order to limit the creation of any more SCP-XXXX instances, and SCP-XXXX was classified as Keter on ██/██/20██.
