Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4189 is to be locked in a 30cm x 30cm x 8cm box consisting of 0.5cm thick stainless steel to prevent possible openings of the box via oxidization. No personnel are to be allowed to interact with SCP-4189 without on-site Director approval.
Description:
SCP-4189 is a bronze ring, which diameter differs depending who wears the ring, though having a base diameter of 2.78cm if no wearer is present. Upon wearing the ring, the individual will notice that it is a perfect fit, no matter the size of hand or finger. If the individual wishes for any conceivable thing (Objects, Ideas, etc.), and reaches their hand into any container. The wearer will receive the item wished (or a close approximation), and turn increasingly more maniacal, and wish for more from the container. If no amnestics are given, then they will frantically start to pull more from the container, with the objects being wished for, associated with "greed", such as gold, money, jewels, etc., to the point of the subject losing sanity, then leading to exhaustion, and cardiac arrest.
Addendum: 4189-1
SCP-4189 was found during an excavation of Pompey in 11-██-03, in what seemed to be an ancient vendors stand. SCP-4189 was attached to a skeleton's hand. The skeleton had it's hand inside a ceramic pot, and the skeleton's jaw was expanded to maximum capacity. One of the excavators thought the ring looked in great condition, despite the events that occurred. They removed the ring, and put it on, to see if it would fit them. Much to their surprise, it fit. They decided to keep it. During this time their lunch hour was about to begin. The individual was thinking about a type of ham sandwich that they wanted, as they put their paper work in a briefcase. Upon removing their hand they removed a sandwich, and proceeded to violently acquire more and more objects from the briefcase. During this period, they started to convulse and eventually died due to cardiac arrest. The SCP Foundation was called by another excavator. The following is a transcription of what the excavator said,
"I've known ███ my entire life, and not once did he tell me he got engaged. I noticed the ring and asked about it, but ███ didn't respond. I suspect its that hellish ring ███ found."
Upon arrival of the closest Foundation Mobile Task Force, anyone on-site was interrogated, and class A amnestics were distributed. (The name of the individual has been replaced with █ to protect their identity)

On November ██, 2019 ,Researcher Dr. Rico has issued a request to test SCP-4189 and its anomalous capabilities. Upon approval, SCP-4189 was relocated to an unused containment cell, approximately 4m3 in volume. A D-Class was sent in to "wish" for certain items. The following is a list of objects granted by the ring:
Water (bottled) - [GRANTED]
Money (1,000 USD) - [GRANTED]
Food (a steak cooked medium rare) - [GRANTED]
Gold (99.9% purity) - [GRANTED]
Liquid Diamond - [GRANTED]
Dr. Rico has described the following in his notes,
"It appears that any object, possible in our universe or not can be acquired through SCP-4189. If my theory is correct, then more abstract objects could be pulled."

On December ██, 2019, Dr. Rico assigned another D-Class to acquire other objects of interest. The following is a list of abstract items, and ideas granted by SCP-4189.
Fractal (triangular) - [GRANTED]
Communism - Item was granted in the form of a book titled "The Communist Manifesto" by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.
George Washington - Item granted in the form of a burlap sack model of George Washington, complete with powdered wig, and dentures.
A run away convict - [GRANTED] Individual has been recovered, and found to be sleeping. Individual waiting further testing, and possible D-Class classification.
Felis catus (Siamese) - [GRANTED]
SCP-106 - Item granted in the form of a copy of the article describing SCP-106 and it's special containment procedures.
A reason for where the objects were coming from - Item granted in the form of a note. The note reads as follows.
" Dear ██████, the items you acquire come from a realm far from yours. You really think I'm going to give the secret away that easily?
Signed, Ma[DATA EXPUNGED]"

Dr. Rico has concluded in his notes, that some sort of extra-dimensional portal is being opened upon the wearer reaching their hand into a container. More testing is required.

A camera attached to a tether was given to the D-Class and was instructed to wish for nothing, and drop the camera. Through camera footage recovered, a dark figure can be seen reaching it's hand toward the camera, through the bottom of the container. Upon the camera being dropped, it seemed to be entering what was thought to be the bottom of the container, the dark figure can be seen with more detail. The Figure's appearance can be closely related to that described in various Abrahamic texts, including and not limited to:
"The Bible", "The Qua ran", and "The Torah". The figure has prominent exterior pointed projections, like that of a male Ovis aries (ram), and enlarged canines similar to that of Canis Lupus (wolf). A deep voice can be heard saying "You fools." before rapidly attacking the camera, and cutting off the signal. The camera has yet to be recovered.
