Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4481 is to be kept in a locked 5meter³ room. The walls, floor, and ceiling of said room are to consist of 1 meter thick concrete, surrounded by 2 inches of steel. SCP-4481 should be kept on a pedestal in the center of the room. Any necessary equipment to monitor SCP-4481's values should be suspended directly above it. This equipment includes a measurement microphone and air pressure readers both inside and outside of SCP-4481's affected area to ensure its area doesn't change. If any change is observed, it is to be reported immediately. Any instances of SCP-4481-1 that are produced through testing should be kept in a standard D-Class cell until the effects wear off.

Description: SCP-4481 is visually identical to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) 54645 Oscilloscope. The top panel of SCP-4481 has a large dent, but the rest of the device is undamaged and clean. The cathode ray screen is on, and depicts the visualization of the noise it emanates.

SCP-4481 emits a humming noise at a frequency of 22461 hertz, at a volume of 11.235 decibels, in a sphere with a circumference of 3.36915 meters. It should be noted that all of these values are the beginnings to Fibonacci sequences, and theoretically go on forever. The volume of SCP-4481 does not vary depending on how close or far you are away from it, as long as you are in the sphere, but doesn't carry outside of the sphere.

If a human is to come in contact with SCP-4481's affected area, the subject, hereafter SCP-4481-1, will begin developing traces of the psychoactive chemical Psilocybin in their brain. It is unclear where this chemical originates. The concentration of Psilocybin is in direct correlation to how long SCP-4481-1 spends inside of the area. Through testing, it's been concluded that the appearance of Psilocybin is exponential. This rate hasn't been precisely measured, but it's assumed, through the other values SCP-4481 uses, that it would be another Fibonacci sequence.

After exiting the SCP-4481's affected area, SCP-4481-1 will display symptoms in line with that of the expected behavior from someone who was under the effects of a psychedelic drug. There appears to almost always be reports of heightened anxiety and paranoia, though no former instances of SCP-4481-1 were able to pinpoint exactly what it was that caused those feelings.
