Special Containment Procedures: A 30 Meter wall is to encircle SCP-XXXX continuously. The wall must be constructed in a circle that fully circles SCP-XXXX with a diameter of no less than 18 Meters. The wall must be constructed with metal, brick masonry, or concrete. Wood, plastic, and glass are unsuitable to containment of SCP-XXXX. The containment wall must have a thickness of no less than 50 cm. SCP-XXXX must be monitored at all times and must be observed by at least 5 cameras, creating a continuous stream of footage that gives a full 360 degree view of the structure containing SCP-XXXX. Two D-Class personnel are to retrieve the recorded footage bi-monthly. The footage must be processed for anomalies by a Level 3 or higher Researcher before being archived.
If the wall containing SCP-XXXX is ever breached, these employees must rebuild the breached wall after recording any events that take place, and detaining any sentient creatures involved in the breach. Any humanoid creatures that are involved must be processed for information before being neutralized via intravenous amnestics. All recordings that contain evidence of a known containment breach must be seized and processed by an employee of Level 4 or higher and analyzed for any potentially new information regarding the function of SPC-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 22.7 meter tall maple tree. More specifically, SCP-XXXX is a Sugar Maple, or Acer Saccharum. According to carbon dating of a cross section of SCP-XXXX's roots, SCP-XXXX is approximately 75 years old. Examination of the exterior of SCP-XXXX shows evidence that SCP-XXXX has been tapped for maple sap no fewer than 20 times in the last 36 years. SCP-XXXX was first located and contained after several campers from ██████, Canada rested beneath SCP-XXXX and experienced what has been ascertained to be a large temporal shift.
The subjects of the temporal shift recalled experiencing stimulation of the nervous system in the form of piloerection and accelerated heartbeat. before experiencing episodes of advanced cellular repair, and what SCP researchers have termed "Retrograde Aging." From the subjects' perceptions, the Retrograde Aging process reversed and the subjects experienced Retrograde Aging followed by a process of accelerated aging before returning to their appropriate age. Interrogation of the surviving subjects showed the perception that the anomalous events lasted approximately 5-7 minutes. The information ascertained by the subjects also shows that the temporal shift only began after the youngest subject, age 33, began carving English letters into the bark with a penknife.
The time observed by the initial subjects was later corroborated by three experiments led by Foundation Researcher ███████████ and 4 test subjects employed the The Foundation. These experiments also confirmed that the attempted physical alteration of SCP-XXXX's exterior is the catalyst for the temporal shifts.
The 5 subjects of SCP-XXXX were all affected and however, 3 of the 5 subjects did not return. After extensive research, SCP Researchers have discerned that the 3 unaccounted for subjects perished after experiencing a span of Retrograde Aging that exceeded their age in reality. The remaining two subjects, aged 41, 37, respectively, remember reverting back to early childhood before returning to their age in current reality. It has been concluded that the subjects experienced a temporal shift from the year 2018 to approximately 1982 CE, based on the estimated experienced of The remaining two subjects.
Initially, state law enforcement was involved when the two remaining subjects approached ██████ Police about the other 3 missing subjects. Upon their arrival, however, the Foundation had already detected a fluctuation in temporal energy and approached SCP-XXXX for initial investigation. The ██████ Police were anmesticised and the two surviving subjects were detained, questioned for information, and then amnesciticised before being returned to their homes in ██████, Canada.

Subject: 35 year old Class-D personnel, █████ █████████, and a 6-year-old domestic canine
Procedure A: Subjects were instructed to stand beneath the shade from SCP-XXXX and wait. subjects were given body cameras and were being filmed from a distance of 20 Meters from the base of SCP -XXXX.
Procedure B: Initiated after Procedure A showed no abnormalities, temporal or otherwise. Both subjects were instructed and/or led to SCP-XXXX and kept in physical contact with its exterior.
Results: Neither subject experienced any abnormalities, temporal or otherwise.
Test B- 2/9/2019
Subject: 24-year-old Class-C personnel, ███████ ████████.
Procedure: 24-year-old subject was instructed to carve three English characters into the exterior of SCP-XXXX. Subject was fitted with a body camera and was filmed from a distance of 20 meters from the base of SCP-XXXX.
Results: Cameras filming from 20 meters observed a change in visible appearance of subject starting at the exact point in time that the subject touched the blade to the exterior of SCP-XXXX. The subject shifted from opaque to transparent within 15 seconds, then rendering the subject invisible. The subject did not return. The body camera recorded and sent 6 minutes and 47 seconds of footage before ceasing to transmit. The subject's hands were captured in the first few minutes of the footage, wherein the subject appeared to experience "Retrograde Aging," and the subject's hands gradually grew younger. A prominent scar attained when the subject was 19 years of age was shown to disappear. The audio further concluded the conditions of Retrograde Aging by the change in the subject's voice. The Subject did not return to the testing ground.
Test C- 2/16/2019
Subject: 67-year-old Class-D Personnel, ████████ ████████.
Procedure: The 67-year old Subject was instructed to approach SCP-XXXX and insert a spile into its exterior and collect sap specimens in a bucket. Subject was fitted with a body camera and was filmed from a distance of 20 meters from the base of SCP-XXXX.
Results:Cameras filming from 20 meters observed a change in visible appearance of subject starting at the exact point in time that the subject touched the spile to the exterior of SCP-XXXX. The subject shifted from opaque to transparent within 15 seconds, then rendering the subject invisible. The subject's body camera captured footage of the subject narrating the Retrograde Aging process. The 67-year old subject verbally confirmed in the footage that the Retrograde Aging not only ensued, but that the time frame matched the 36-year gap experienced by the original subjects in 2018. The 67-year-old subject returned to the view of the distant camera in 2019 after 6 minutes and 47 seconds. A single drop of sap from SCP-XXXX remained in the tin bucket, and the spile remained in the exterior of SCP-XXXX. The Sap was contained and was to be investigated for unique properties, however, it dissipated before researchers could contain it.
