Special containment procedures:

SCP-XXXX-6 is to be locked in an airtight, 5x5x3 soundproof, padded and lit humanoid containment chamber, guarded by at least 2 security officers at all times. Under no circumstances is any person to gain access to SCP-XXXX-6.

Should any persons come into contact and engage in conversation with SCP-XXXX-6, both SCP-XXXX-6 and the person who contacted SCP-XXXX-6 are to take the dice roll test. If The person showing symptoms of SCP-XXXX is not SCP-XXXX-6, they are to immediately converse with SCP-XXXX-6 until SCP-XXXX-6 reacquires SCP-XXXX.

Should SCP-XXXX-6 show signs of the transition to stage 4, SCP-XXXX-6 is to be incinerated and replaced immediately. Should SCP-XXXX-6 reach stage 4 before intervention, a sector-wide evacuation is to be initiated and a D-Class is to secure the containment chamber. That D-Class will then assume the role of SCP-XXXX-6.

Description:

SCP-XXXX is a disease that causes bad luck in its host. When SCP-XXXX enters a host, the host will begin to experience symptoms and events characterised by bad luck. SCP-XXXX is contagious, spread by verbal communication between 2 people. SCP-XXXX does not duplicate until stage 4 and until then can only inflict one host at a time. The success rates of SCP-XXXX transferring to another host are 25%-[REDACTED]. The levels of bad luck are split into 4 stages:

1) The dice roll stage. The earliest signs of bad luck can be determined by making a host roll a die multiple times and determining the total of their score by adding the scores together and analysing trends. Records show that afflicted subjects show a trend of constant lows scores while unafflicted subjects show random patterns in their scoring. Due to this data, dice are used to determine the stage and state of afflicted subjects. This stage usually lasts for 4-6 hours.

2) The accident stage. Afflicted subjects are now prone to accidents. Incidents can range from losing wallets to car crashes. It is theorised that this range of bad luck is determined by the onset of the disease within stage 2 however this is not proven. Subjects in this stage rolling die now show a constant score of 1 every time. Subjects are now incapable of winning luck-based games. This stage will typically last for [REDACTED].

3) The contagious stage. SCP-XXXX can now infect another person. Any accidents are now serious, and a person can no longer use sharp materials or heavy objects without it unintentionally harming or killing them. All dice rolls at this stage show the dice breaking into pieces. SCP-XXXX can now be spread between persons, however it does not replicate itself, meaning it cannot infect more than one person at a time. Should SCP-XXXX transfer to another host the stage of the disease will not be altered, and the previous host will be relieved of all symptoms. This stage typically lasts 1-3 months in institute conditions.

4) Death. Should SCP-XXXX succeed in killing their host, SCP-XXXX now shows characteristics alike to a normal airborne disease, using disease spores around the air to infect others. SCP-XXXX is now able to infect any persons who come into contact with the dead host. Infectivity rate of anybody who comes into contact with SCP-XXXX spores is 100%. If SCP-XXXX cannot physically kill the host the host will suffer a random health breakdown, one typically associated with luck such as an aneurism.
